  Humble, basic and excellent value

  Wanting a low cost break - we took pot luck and booked Luketa via a discount agent. For the price - we are certainly not disappointed. Having arrived two hours late due to delayed flights - the owner was still happy to greet us at silly o'clock. The apartment has all you need and a great view. You are very close to the bus to Split, the beach and a local convenience store. The apartment is humble/basic however for what we paid, it is excellent value and has everything we need.

  Comfortable place with lovely views

  We spent a week at Villa Luketa apartments in September. We were given a warm welcome and offered some good local information and advice about things to do. Ivo and his brother were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Our apartment was a good size and had good facilities. Our room had great views across the Adriatic Sea and we were just 2 minutes from the beach. The apartment was very close to the main road going through Podstrana and quite busy, although as we were at the rear of the building we werent affected too much by traffic noise. There are regular buses going through Podstrana so you can get to the town of Split( probably better than going by car). Split was very busy even though it was coming to the end of the season. The other place worth visiting is Omi, a smaller quieter town, but has a nicer feel to it and has a nice beach. We found a nice restaurant on the beach just a 10 minute walk along the beach called In. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Villa Luketa Thank you Ivo for your hospitality Ed & Francesca

  Amazing

  Stayed here for a week. We had booked a studio but on arrival were given a 1 bedroom apartment, free of charge. Wow it was fantastic. Huge apartment with all amenities that you need. Lovely friendly people. We even got to keep our apartment right up to when we were picked up to go home, free of charge. Views were to die for, surrounded by fruit trees and almost right on the beach. Totally chilled relaxing holiday only 20 mins bus into main resort of split which is amazing. Defo be back.

  Beautiful Setting, Warm Welcome

  We stayed mid October 2019 Let's put a few things straight, for those who mentioned the noisy and dangerous road, all I can say is do your research. We have Google Earth, Street View and they all show that Villa Luketa is situated right on the main carriageway. Have we all become so Namby-Pamby that we have forgotten how to cross a road? Be patient, "Green Cross Code", what's the rush, you're on HOLIDAY, calm down,relax. Fair enough, it may not be the best for families with young children, but you have an alternative, go down to the beach and head towards the Harbour and catch your bus to either direction. Other hotels are on the same carriageway, 5* Meridian Hotel. That's enough. The Villa Luketa is a very comfortable accommodation. We were allocated the apartment 2A, this is a one bedroom apartment with a very spacious bedroom with a small but adequate suntrap balcony, a kitchen dinner, a large lounge which opens back to the shared balcony which has the beautiful view of the sea, harbour and town. I won't add any photos as they will be repeated by those already posted. This apartment is right next to the said road but we weren't affected. We were shown to the apartment by one of the brothers who spent time giving us information about the surrounding area, bus routes and costs, restaurants, Bakeries, Supermarkets. The next and subsequent days we were showered with fruit from their garden, Oranges, Pomegranates and Sharon Fruit. On request, we were given the remote to operate the air-con. Very welcomed, Thank you. Ther beach is only a minute down the garden path. It's a shingle beach so take towels to lie on or use sun loungers provided by the restaurants and bars on the right of the steps. Not sure about charges, we weren't approached but we did patronise the bar Life's A Beach! To the left the Meridien Hotel, we had a few beers by their Infinity Pool, very nice. OK, the negatives. SORRY! As previously mentioned by others, the Wi-Fi coverage can easily rectified by a few boosters. A few extension leads would come in handy, we all want to charge our phones/power banks, we don't want to unplug the light to use the power socket, maybe even a T adapter. All in all a very relaxing and comfortable stay. To the host family, well done, keep up the great work and THANK YOU. We will return when we visit Split again. Thong & Rebecca

  Beautiful atmospheric setting

  We returned to Villa Luketa after our previous visit a few years ago and it is just as lovely as the first time around. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the wonderful host who gave us chocolates on our departure which was such a lovely unexpected gesture! The suites are large, spacious, very clean and fully equipped with everything that you could need for your stay. The views are just stunning and being in Podstrana it is very close to all local amenities with Split and Omis being just 20 & 25 minutes away by bus. I highly recommend that you try this wonderful little gem as you will not regret it. We certainly hope to return in the future when we next visit Croatia .
