    Lovely spot

I did not stay here but stopped in for a drink, had dinner and took a tour. Staff were welcoming, charming and efficient as well as multilingual. Not cheap but fairly priced, romantic spot with beautiful dining room and excellent food. I would like to return and stay over.

    Disappointing visit.

Nice hotel and surrounding. We went there for a drink in the afternoon. After the drink we wanted to know if we could have dinner there in the evening. We asked about the price and the menu. The waiter informed us that the price and the menu were a surprise. When we eventually decided to come in the evening we would see what was on the menu and what the price was. We were a little disappointed but decided to come anyway. When we came back later that evening we could choose for dinner a la carte or a set menu(35 euro). My wife chose the set menu and I chose a starter and a main course from the menu. To my surprise the waiter informed me that that was not possible. It was either both a set menu or both a a la carte choice. We were both too baffled to respond adequately. Later on I wondered what would have happened if my wife and I had taken seperate tables and had ordered separately. Needless to say that we don't intend to come back here. The food however was okay although expensive. Friendliness and flexibility zero.

Excellent place to relax and escape

Beautiful little village in the middle of nowhere in German countryside. Most friendly staff and excellent restaurant where daily changing menu is offered. Old building with lots of charm and staircases. Many walking paths through the old renovated village and many relaxing opportunities in the surroundings. Artificial lake nearby.

    What a PLACE!!

This place is tops! If you like rural beautiful landscape and want to stay in a place steeped with culture and tradition this is your gaff! I went here with my partner to her sisters wedding, the place itself is clean, great taste and is well furbished. The meal was excellent and the service!!!!! Well what can I say! They kept you happy without pestering you, and that my friends is exactly what service is about. They knew when to approach you for drinks, snacks, coffee to keep you happy but you didn't feel overwhelmed, Little walk around the area with the local Burgermeister who gave an insight of the area which was a nice touch. Most of it was lost on me as my German is still in its infancy but I've learnt enough over the past 6 months to get a jist of what the old chap's conversation consisted of, Sleeping accommodation was very quaint and comfortable, except for the pillows! If you've not been to Germany and you like a hard pillow to support your neck then don't hold your breath, for some reason the pillows in Germany are like bags of cotton wool, they look nice and plump until you put your lid on it and it flattens like a piece of paper, your basically level with the mattress! SCHWEINEKISSEN!! If I was going to play Devils advocate I would only say that when people moved about on the corridor outside it was easily heard in the sleeping areas, but, to be fair it wasn't a major drama for us and it does NOT take away an excellent time spent there. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty lots of coffee but as for all of Germany, your attempts at a decent cup of Tea stinks! But that's Germany full stop, take your own Yorkshire Tea if you want a decent brew first thing!!! Great atmosphere and surroundings are amazing. All in all a most decent showing chaps! Go for whatever reason, break, short holiday, passing through, receptions, birthdays, weddings, whatever, they'll accommodate and you won't be disappointed. ENJOY!

Lovely place, warm welcome and charming village

I went there on a family trip last weekend, and we had such a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful, very cute, and located on a top of a hill in a charming village. The staff is really attentive and ready to help. We slept sooooo good! Really quiet and the beds are amazing. Moreover, I forgot my charger there and they just sent it to me the day after! I have rarely experienced such a kindness from a hotel. Also, they have several terraces with an amazing view! I really recommend it!
