  Dont go there!!

  I stayed at this hotel from 15-19 July. Only half of the hotel was open the rest was being renovated. It was like staying in a building site. We were woken every morning at 08.30 by the sound of drilling, electric saw or grinding/sanding machine. The bar area and lounge area were not completed and not open - not sure where the casino will be!!!! This is not as advertised and management were not at all sympathetic and offered no compensation even though we were not warned about the works being carried out before our arrival. Stay clear from the place for at least another 6-12 months as there is a lot more work to be done and completed.

  Absolutely perfect!!

  We have a great experience to stay at this hotel in September 2019. It was one night stop in our long honeymoon France trip. But it was absolutely amazing stay!! The rooms was after renovation, totally equipped with all that you need - perfect bath / shower cosmetic set, towel set, hairdryer, fridge, beach bag, tv, huge pillow selection, very comfortable bed, sleepers, and even bathrobes. We have a lot of experience staying in hotels, but I can say with confidence that the rooms are equipped here for more than three star hotels. Every detail in this hotel made with soul for sure. We love this place and definitely come back here again

  Everything is great except breakfast. Nice, modern, relaxing place.

  Villa Gypsy Place itself is good and worth to stay. But i do not have other experience with other places in Doville to compare Host was very nice and helpful girl tried to do the best to help in all our needs. Unfortunately didnt speak English, so it was a problem.. Pluses: Good location: 1) not in the very center from restaurant- 10-15 mins by walk. But to us it is good, not paid parking area and calm place 2) close to the beach - 3-5 mins by walk , 3rd line from beach. 2) Nice rooms at first floor with its own entrance, possible to take a seat outside with wine and some easy food, we were given glasses and plates from kitchen (We had lovely our own evening there). 3) Nice apple garden with chilling place 4) We were kindly changed our initial room to bigger - that room is really worth to take, big enough with separated bathroom (was bath and shower well) and toilet. Our first room was rather good for lovers, smaller, lack of space for 2 big luggages, but for travellers for weekends is fine. 4) Modern equipment, shower worked well with good pressure. Minuses: 1) Breakfast-it is room for improvement! 2)due no English speaking host, it was hard to explain what we want to have at breakfast. By default it was served with bred, and cap with a little confiture. So there is no table where you see yourself all options you want to have: yogurt, cheese or something. Each case you have to ask, even for each cap of coffer you have to go to ask. So we couldnt ask about eggs and cheese question.. so we dont know if it was in the option list or not... but i learnt how hot water and milk is in french :) why just do not make breakfast table with all possible options that guests can take themselves... or put English small brochure where all options are listed? 3) Area for breakfast- to my taste is not really comfortable, good just for quick coffee place, metal tables , looks styled but not really comfortable for having relaxing breakfast 4) No tea-pot in the room. It was a problem... 5) Next time will try other options to see the difference

  designer boutique hotel

  beautifully newly redone small hotel...2 blocks from the Beach. Went in the dead of winter and was the only guest there....Beautifully appointed room ( with is important to me) friendly people to help me check in and serve breakfast . Had my doggies to walk to the beach and also great restaurants in Deauvill open all year round. Love the fact that its in the old part of Deauville.

  This a place to avoid. They dont clean for Covid. Lost half a day of vacation.

  -After having left the hotel, I called to inquire about a possible lost passport and was told that it was not there. They cleaned the rooms thoroughly for Covid and would have found it. No care at all. Next day I drove back to the hotel to ask again in person. I was told that it was totally impossible that it was in the room. They had already washed it down two times for Covid. I insisted. Shaking her head, the woman rooks me to the room. Repeating that I was wasting her time. In the cabinet my passport was. Consequently they cant hae cleaned. Further, they have not done any effort to find a passport. -Also, My toilet as not working properly. I was condescendly told that it was just me who didnt know how to press properly it was very sensitive and took around eight to ten times to make it work properly. Later, they realized that something was wrong, but with no apology. I was moved to another room.
