A lovely place to stay
I spent 7 nights at the Villa Godesberg and had a wonderful stay. The service from the friendly and helpful staff, from booking the room until departure, was excellent. My single room was comfortable and cosy, and the high ceilings and large windows gave it an airy and generous feel. The green view out to the garden was magical, as was having breakfast out there in the warm summer mornings. The rooms and the house are attractively furnished and bathrooms are modern with all conveniences. I really appreciated several additional generous touches: free mini-bar providing welcome cold drinks; kettle, tea, etc, in the room; reliable Wifi; free use of a bicycle which was perfect for getting around locally. The breakfast was generous with everything one could wish for and very attentive service. The location of the hotel in the nicest part of Godesberg is great, both for getting to the Rhein and its promenade, and into town. The friendly and helpful staff and the comfort of the hotel made my stay there most pleasant and enjoyable - it was like a home from home. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, nice setting and location. A bit less quiet during our stay than we hoped for.
People were kind, helped us both in German and English perfectly. Location is cosy and the neighbourhood is quiet in the evening. We asked at booking for a quiet room, and got one that looked out on the street in the secondary building. Any other day, this would have been fine, but there were roadworks going on that had started before we arrived and were only finished in the week after we left. This was only on the pavement, just in front of the hotel. Maybe we had the best room considering the circumstances, but we were awoken in the morning by a stone hammer and a (masonry?) drill; sleeping with the windows open for some fresh and cooler air during nighttime was not an option. Maybe a room with view on the garden next time or one that had no window on the side of the pavement ? Rooms were spacious. Drinks on the room were included, but with our visit the Cola Zero and red wine were not replenished the day after. There is no airconditioning; but it has all the perks to give you a warm and comfy feeling in the spring or autumn. Breakfast was simple yet complete. One day we had the scrambled eggs, and they were already cold, the other day the single loaf of bread and Brie-cheese was finished at the start of our breakfast and we did not see it replenished before we left. This at a time when there were hardly many other guests present. A few berries, olives or strips of avocado could uplift the selection quite a lot. The individually pre-packed (liege) waffles were of woeful quality. This was a cheap product with a very high shelf-life, resulting in a dry and blunt product. The breadbuns were crispy and they went well with the real or vegetable-based butter. WIFI was working, no fuss with the setup. Coffee and tea were good. Facilities in the room and bathroom also good. Cleanliness, was very good. 10/10 ! Lovely garden; and you could walk from the breakfast-room, which was very atmospheric with its lead-in-glass windows, into the garden. No problem if you would like to finish breakfast in the garden, or visa versa. You are in walking distance from subway/tram and train. The local commercial zone was also pretty nice for if you don't want to go into the Bonn-city centre. To the other side, you can find some good Italian restaurants. L'Unico is superb, but make reservations beforehand. In overall, it had just a few shortcomings but for the money spent, for two nights standard double room with breakfast, 250,- was a bit much for what we got.

Willkommen in Bad Godesberg!!
Classic architecture meets modern decor. Located amongst partially cobbled, tree lined streets, this hotel has a sense of grandeur yet calm about it; which we found very captivating! Our go to place for accommodation around Bonn. Multiple restaurants in and around the area but overall don't expect Bonn & Co. to offer unlimited foodie choices. Personal recommendation: The Bastei Restaurant(15 min walk from the hotel) on the river Rhein with good food and spectacular views from their balconies. Hotel highlights: Personal service and friendly staff Morning breakfast in the beautiful gardens...... weather allowing!

Very nice hotel with good amenities and truly friendly service
As I had been looking for a hotel nearby Haus Carstanjen for a week, I was very happy find this place. The room and bathroom were nice, well maintained and clean. The service impeccable and the breakfast good. There was place to park in the neighbourhood and in the front yard. All of it in a nice leafy area not far from a smaller high street.

Breathtaking
Exquisite fin-de-siecle villa turned into a boutique hotel. Large rooms, free WiFi. Absolute stunning prices. During my time with a German corporation I spent many a night in German hotels, but never I had such a lovely hotel for so few Euros! ABSOLUTE recommendation! As we knew we would arrive late, the key for the door was locked in a safe next to it, the key for the room was lying at the reception. I really like this kind of customer-orientation.
