  Fabulous stay in Dubrovnik

  Our group rented this villa for a wonderful week in Dubrovnik. As the pictures show, the villa itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and well equipped with everything we needed to relax, cook amazing meals, and walk to beautiful beaches and restaurants. In fact it is better equipped than even the photos would indicate -- wine fridge, washer & dryer, 2 dishwashers, gorgeous thick robes, and a huge fresh fruit assortment were just some of the surprises we found on arrival. The main house kitchen, while small relative to the size of the villa, is fully equipped for making breakfasts and lunches, but the "outdoor" kitchen, which is downstairs near the pool, is the place to cook dinners for a crowd (we were a party of 11). It is huge, has a large fridge and freezer, large oven and stove, sink, dishwasher, everything. (Plus a separate bathroom so you don't have to go dripping into the main house from the swimming pool!). The outdoor areas are stunning, spacious and plenty of room for kids and adults to relax, play, and dine. Lots of shaded areas too, and the pool was in constant use. The views from the outdoor areas (especially the upper terrace large dining table) are breathtaking, and we loved our big group dinners at sunset each night. You could walk to a great beach just steps from the villa, or take a lovely 7-10 minute stroll down the (pedestrian/bike only) path to the Copacabana beach club for more of a "scene" (a couple of bars, cafe's, ice-cream stands, music, a floating inflatable playground, kayak and jet-ski rentals, etc.). All totally kid- and family-friendly. At the same time, the villa is away from the city center and Old Town, but that was a total positive to us, as those areas can be rather crowded and much hotter. So while we loved the amazing walks and exploration in the Old town, it was always wonderful to get back to Villa Franica when we were finished. You can get into town via a quick taxi or Uber trip - about a 10-15 minute drive (although sometimes the drivers had a little difficulty finding the villa). Also, the pedestrian/bike path that runs in front of the villa along the bay is wonderful for walks, runs, and exploring the neighborhood. If you'd like a dinner or lunch splurge, be sure to try the restaurant Orsan, also a nice walk from the villa along the water. Amazing seafood, pasta and risotto (plus a simple kids' menu), and great local wines and house-made olive oil. Its connected to a lovely marina and has a great view of the city. Finally, a huge thanks to Vinka and Vedrana from the property manager company, who were amazing hosts, totally responsive, full of great information and suggestions, and helped us manage all manner of logistical issues with humor, warmth, and professionalism. (One other last thought -- we didn't realize that the villa cost for the week included cleaning service every other day, and groundskeeping. You can decline the cleaning service if you want, but we went with it. It was pretty non-intrusive and mainly was for changing towels, making beds, and light but perfectly sufficient cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen and main common areas). All in all, a fabulous place from which to explore Dubrovnik and experience a wonderful beach vacation at the same time.

  Superb

  Such a lovely time in this amazingly well supplied villa, with everything we could possibly want. Serviced regularly with lovely staff who changed our bed linen, towels etc every couple of days, a gardener who serviced the pool, & generally kept everything spik & span. We loved it all, & so hope one day to go back. Stay here, you will love it !

  Marvellous medicine

  Our family was delighted to stay in this fabulously situated and delightfully appointed home. We were all needing some vital rest and relaxation and we could not have chosen better! We were a family of three generations with partners and spouses, nine in all. The situation in a Dubrovnik suburb, right beside a beach and small marina was excellent... it offered a beautifully picturesque setting and yet was tranquil notwithstanding its close proximity to hotel complexes and other developed beaches. There were several supermarkets, really good restaurants and even a hospital within walking distance. The Old Town was a 50 minute walk away or fifteen minutes on a local bus or ten in a taxi. We thought about hiring a car to visit further afield but there was so much to see and do in the area. We hired a boat and jet skis for a couple of days and enjoyed visiting nearby islands. The pool was great to have and the family enjoyed making up various competitions, many created to accommodate numbers, ages and the size of the pool. The overall garden was spacious and permitted seclusion for anyone wishing time alone to read and reflect. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The furniture and decoration reflected a contemporary classic Croatian style with German influences in the dark heavy wooden furniture. Bathrooms were contemporary in style. The kitchen was very well appointed for anyone who wished to cook. We used the barbecue on a couple of occasions which worked well. The garden staff were brilliant and arrived early in the morning to clean the pool and tidy and water the plants. There was also a concierge service with the nearby hotel reception which could order take out food if required or book taxi services, or restaurants. One regret is that we did not use the hotel restaurant during our visit ... next time ..! We truly loved our stay and cant wait to return.

  Great villa

  It was a perfect villa for a long weekend - the rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable beds, good bathrooms with good size for the two main rooms which have en-suite a. The villa is private, quiet with a little beach across the road and a good location for visiting the old town by taxi or a lovely walk. Pervanovo were very helpful and responsive to all our queries.   Best family vacation ever!

  Loved this property, perfect for a family of 6 adults and 4 children. The location right on the beach was was a hit with the little ones as it is a very rocky beach. The pool was maintained perfectly warm and the outdoor seating areas were well used. It is within walking distance to 2 great resorts for sunset cocktails and meals. The management company was great, a very small glitch the first day got a repairman over within 30 minutes. Taxi ride to walled city is about 15 minutes. Trust me you want to be away from all the crowds.
