  Bonito hotel junto al lago

  Este hotel se encuentra junto al lago de Ohrid, en una pequeña calle, aunque un poco alejado del casco histórico. En cualquier caso se puede llegar a él en menos de veinte minutos andando. Los dueños son muy simpáticos y atentos. Ella habla bien inglés. Cuando les preguntamos como llegar a la estación de autobuses se ofrecieron a llevarnos gratuitamente. La habitación es amplia y completa, con cocina y terraza. El baño dispone de ducha con hidromasaje aunque no utilizamos esta función. El desayuno era completo y muy bueno. Tiene un bar de los mismo propietarios en la planta baja. Totalmente recomendable.

  A gem of a place

  We found this beautiful place after being very unhappy with a different hotel that we had booked. It is down a side street so is quiet but has lovely views of the mountains and is still only a few yards from the lake. The place is spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful and should be very proud of their hotel. I can' t recommend this highly enough. It cost us just 35euros per night for the room and would be worth twice that anywhere else. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

  Villa Dislievski ...the place to stay

  Wonderful people, central location, very clean and supportive staff. The people at villa dislievski make sure you have a perfect vacation, they take care of all you needs and will make sure you have a wonderful stay at their hotel

  Funky, Nature Lovers Gem with the Romance of Bedroom Jacuzzi

  Ohrid for the Balkan traveller is a nature lover's gem; a dramatically located lakeside resort with heart and heritage. Hotel Villa Dislievski is the place to stay if you want to find the romance at its heart. Located just one street back from the curving lakeshore promenade, its a boutique hotel that delights with its funky Jacuzzi focused suites and bedrooms. In a touch of design whimsy the rooms are complete with starlit ceilings and amorous associated colours. All you have to do is supply the Prosecco. Owners Ljubi and Dushko have created a little gem of a hotel which they are so proud of; they are indefatigably warm, helpful, and thoughtful and will help make any stay in Ohrid memorable. Our accommodation was delightful. The Jacuzzi at the end of the bedroom unconditionally romantic; an oasis of indulgence after a day of hiking around the great lake. We arrived by bus from Tirana which took us as far as Struga and we needed a bit of haggling with a local taxi to get to Ohrid; but Dushko will collect you at the airport if you arrive by plane. Ohrid is a glorious stopping off point for travellers between Tirana and Skopje. Dushko was exceptional in helping us with information during out stay but performed one of the greatest kindnesses we have experienced in years of travelling when he discovered that we had left a small rucksack with a collection of airline tickets and hotel reservation documents back at the hotel, having driven us to the Ohrid Bus Terminal (which is a bit out of town). He immediately jumped into his car and raced back to the Terminal just as we were about to board the bus to Skopje. It was a heart-warming gesture we will never forget. Cant recommend Villa Dislievski highly enough, if you are a free spirited, romantic always hoping for another bit of magic around the corner. Just one slight warning, there isnt a lift; some of the best mini suits and rooms are on the third floor and you will have to use the stairs. But I can see smiling Dushko bounding up the stairs with your case if you need his help.

  My booking was cancelled

  I made a reservation to Villa Dislievski for 3 nights through booking.com about two months before the intended date. 5 days before the journey I received a message that my credit card is not working and I was asked to send the card details again. I sent those. 3 days before the journey I received a message that my booking is cancelled. When I contacted my bank as well as the credit card company they said that the card is totally ok. They did not see in their files any attempt by Disliesvski to verify it. When I contacted booking.com they did not help at all in this issue which let me very disappointed. I contacted by e-mail to Dislievski ensuring that we will come and asking them to keep a reservation for us. As they replied I supposed that it is ok. Then surprisingly, the night before the journey after 7 pm Dislievski sends a message telling that their house is full and they cannot receive us! That was only some hours before we were about to move from Skopje to Ohrid! And almost whole Ohrid was fully booked! Why I am giving 2 stars instead of one? The only reason is that in their last message they gave a hint where an accommodation could still be found.
