One night getawayFirst impressions , not good, last impressions worse. Granted it was on the cheap side and thankfully only one night. Very small room, the bed was old with spring mattress that was uncomfortable. Open shower with stains all over, only one towel provided. The aircon made noise and could not be tampered with to adjust the settings. Outside noise with obviously the owners place about one meter away with no privacy. Water tank outside made continuous noise sounding like a toilet cistern filling up. I wont be going back there again even it it was cheaper

Basic guesthouseI stayed in room 6 (the right top room with the balcony in the picture) and stayed here for 8 nights for a diving trip. The dive centre had booked the accommodation for me and I was not disappointed even if I had some reservations after reading the reviews. The place is a basic guesthouse so don't expect resort quality. It is basically half way between the beach and the shops/atm at beau vallon and this was fine for me. The atmosphere is all very relaxed (sometimes you just need to ask if you need something. There is no real reception though so time your requests around breakfasts or simply go around the back and shout if you need something). There are some more permanent guests as well who seem to be around for most part of the day so the place felt quite safe. The room was self contained with a big and clean bathroom. The decor is a bit outdated but as long as it is clean... the room itself has AC, was clean to begin with, it was cleaned every day and got clean sheets halfway throughout my stay. There was only one sheet on the mattress so if you are squeamish you might want to ask for an extra set or bring a travel sheet. I didn't feel the need. The room has a small fridge which is quiet and there is a fan. No safe to put your valuables in though. There was also a TV in the room but only showing local channel so left to rurned off. I loved the small balcony which, if you place the chairs correctly gives a nice view to the mountains and gives a nice reading spot in case you get tired of sitting on the beach. Breakfast is really basic with a fried egg, some cheese or sausages, some toast, tea/coffee and juice. Some fresh fruit would have been nice though. So nothing special but if you don't need to stay on the beach, have a limited budget, then it's a decent guesthouse. Just remember that you are on the Seychelles and that you pay a lot for what you get, but in many resorts you pay even a lot more...

Pleasant stayHaving it in good memory 2007 I chose it again in Feb 2019 despite having read rather average ratings before booking. I travelled with my girlfriend and our son, 3 years old. The property is panhandle as someone mentioned, in my eyes an advantage as one is separated from the street and the noisy pimped cars young Seychellois love to turn loud on the weekends, so it is really quiet. The spacious garden is well taken care of by Mohammed. The two sisters have been running the property for ages, offering one big and two smaller self catering appartments as well as 5 double rooms. We stayed on the ground floor in the bigger house in an two person apartment which offers a third bed for (free for a small kid or) a grown up. The apartment is quite large, kitchen, terace, living room, bedroom with A/C and bathroom with both shower and bathtube. The rooms are fine, could need some renovation like additional light bulbs but everything is clean and not worn down as described by some reviewers. This is probably an individual feeling but as I am not striving to the highest standards it was fine for me. Those who do should choose Maia or Banyan Tree resorts rather than a reasonably priced accommodation imho. The matress is very good as normally I suffer from thin hard matresses when being on vacation. The kitchen is fully equipped but we did not use it. I enjoyed the privacy, the sisters leave you alone and everything is easy going. If you need something, ask them and they will help. Every three days you get new bed sheets and linen and towels, every day except on Sunday they clean your apartment. Our apartment was not ready when we arrived shortly after 12 pm but they tried hard and to make up for the delay they offered us free internet which you normally get charged for. The breakfast is continental so expect toast, butter, marmelade, ham and eggs in different styles, sometimes sausages as well as tea and milk and juice. Nothing special, but on the beach you will find a lot of shops selling tropical fruits. On our last day we could stay in the room until late without extra charge, take a shower in the evening before departing for the late flight which made the last day of vacation much more comfortable, particularly with a small kid. I normally do not write reviews when travelling unless the stay was really bad but as this accomodation is not particularly well rated by others I felt like this is not fair and not reality. Claudia and her sister made our stay (11 days) really enjoyable and the appartment was simply good.

Good heart of Ms.ClaudiaBecause of the unfortunate circumstances with Corona virus, I had to cancel my booking on middle of March with Vila De Roses in the last moment. I tried to contact the agency I made a booking with and ask for a refund, but they didnt seem interested to help me so I rech out to Ms. Claudia , who was very kind and made and effort to personally contact the agency and helped me to get a full refund. Even tought I didnt met her and stayed in their house, her efforts and good deed deserve every praise. And definitely when I will have a chance to visit Seychelles again, I will have no doubt where to stay, thank you!

lovely vacationI really enjoyed my vacation at Villa des roses in beau vallon, this is a guest house very near to the beach .. just 5 minutes walking. The two ladies owning the place and the workers there are doing their best to keep the place in a very good state with a very lovely garden, my room was spacious with a big bed and a mini-bar, there is a free good wifi, the bathroom was really big with towels, soup and toilet paper, housekeeping is done every other day leaving the room really clean. They can also order an airport shuttle car for you, and can advise you of many things to do or many places to eat all around. This area is very quiet so you'll enjoy a good sleep. This guesthouse is also undergoing some refurbishment now to become even better, and they are adding more roses and flowers to their garden that I personally really admired. I went there as the recommendation of my mum and sister who previously had been there and enjoyed their vacation at Villa des roses. Again thank you to all the staff there for their kindness and their real friendly and helpful attitude, and a special "miss you" to dear Claudia from me, my mum Suzan and my sister Sarah
