  Aparment 8335C - Very good

  Not easy to find, sat nav took us totally the wrong place but Villa Castello is what you need. Location is very good , near (400 yards) from the only shop for a 8 mile radius and between 2 bays that have a couple of restaurants on one side and a nice basic beach bar on the other. Apartment/ Hotel setup is all up a hill side, out apartment was up the 1st flight of stairs above the garage or utility room. Apartment itself was great, 2 bedrooms, 3 showers/bathroom, kitchen, utility room and an outside area with big balcony. The small swimming pool is 2 tiers further up with 5 beds around it, its OK for a dip and cool down but not massive, shallow end is at least 7ft. There is a BBQ area but we never found out , if it was for individuals to use or just the owner/restaurant. This place is great if you want to be totally relaxed and do nothing. Korcula town is 3 miles away, a nice walk down to get there but be warned there are no places to stop and get a drink or ice cream on way so take some drinks with you. Get a taxi back is it is a bit uphill and just say Villa Castello as they all know where it is. Plenty of car parking spaces outside. Hosts we good and helpful , we did have a little problem with payment, we had already paid a deposit and asked on arrival could we pay rest on credit card as the booking had said cash. We were told yes thats fine and we would pay day before departure. Day before departure from there we were informed of a problem with CC machine so they wanted cash, we managed to scramble enough cash together to pay but just be wary as this is not uncommon in Croatia of CC machine being a little flaky.

  Nice facility. Stayed one night

  We stayed one night to visit Korcula old town. Facility is located about 10 mins drive to the old town. Was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Quite a few stair to get to the villa if you park at the bottom of the facility.

  Fantastic lunch with Family

  By coincidence we went to this Restaurant and it was really great. Its a bit of a challenge to find it as ist uphill in a small area but really worth to go to. On the terrace outside you have a fantastic view as you can see on the picture. They deliver fresh high quality food and excellent service. Also the owner produces his own wine which is sensationally good. I can only advice when in this area to go here and visit.

  nice place but service which needs to be improved

  The location is nice, but about 4 km away from Korcula center, which forced you to have a car to get back and forth. Although they are some stairs, just make sure to take the parking top hill when you arrive, and park your car before the property when you leave (it is easier to go downstairs with your luggage than upstairs). there are 2 cute swimming pools, and the top one, it the one for the guest. The furniture can be replaced, since some of them are just broken. About the service my wife and me had not choice to claim that it was the worse one we have got during our 15-days trip through Croatia. We had to wait 10 minutes before somebody turned up to give us the keys, and even worse, at 10pm (!), somebody knocked at our door to ask us to pay for the night already. It was easier for them, so very bad customer experience. Although they offered breakfast service, they claimed that it was not possible before 9am since somebody broke his/her leg .... It was obvious that they were not pleased to have guests around...

  A sunlit Haven

  This property maybe 10 minutes by cab out off Korcula Town but its worth being there and travelling into town when you want to.Panoramic views across the valley and over the sea , well equipped apartments , supermarket 4 minutes away , fabulous family run restaurant , Baric , 10 minutes away ( hotels restaurant not open when we visited in early September) .Two swimming pools to service under ten apartments ,Extremely helpful host , even have a local taxi driver as a close friend Three beach bars in under 15 minutes walk in a very tranquil and restful area , give it a go !.
