  Birthday present

  I needed quite long time to find an appropriate accomodation for my husband`s birthday. As I planned a trip in Istria, I was looking for something special. And Villa Calussovo was the perfect chioce. You will have some difficulties to find it, but at the end you will have the best view and tranquility. Just the right things I was looking for. We also tired their seasonal food and was exquisite.

  Lovely family run establishment

  We were staying at ripenda kras and visited twice for dinner during our stay. It was a lovely short walk up the lane for us. On both occasions we were welcomed with homemade local istrian fare. The pasta was superb and the meat dishes cooked to perfection. . Excellent value and our hosts very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

  Excellent restaurant although we didn't try the pension

  We had a lovely meal here. The chef even brought out the fish from the fridge tp help us with our selection. Very tranquil garden environment although we sat inside as it was a bit chilly. Beef was very tender and fresh vegetables were all home grown. The surprise was that although we didn't order dessert as we were full, we were served with a heavenly lemon and cream profiterole type dish On the house!! Very nice family restaurant and well worth a visit. They have rooms as well.

  A relaxing resort with perfect Istrian meals and wines, nice quiet rooms and a well kept garden.

  During our vacation in Istria in June 2016 we stayed in Villa Callusovo for 5 days, a relaxing traditional guesthouse where Lilly, a perfect cook, and her husband Elio serve refined, well cooked Istrian meals prepared from local fresh ingredients (so homemade noodles and eggs chicken running in a hen hold in a wonderful free compound protected by a net) and good dry Istrian wine. Lilly and her husband are very caring hosts; we enjoyed their conversation and their helpful advises. We relaxed in comfortable chairs in front of the Villa, were surrounded by olive- and pine trees, we looked at green hills and valleys. From Labin, the nearest city, we drove a small road for about 15 minutes to this paradise. We recommend this Villa to tourists, who come to Istria, and visit its picturesque towns and impressive countryside and wish to find quietness and a good dinner after a busy day

  Delightful setting for local restaurant in quiet location.

  The restaurant is located off the beaten track down a winding, often narrow, road leading from the main road from Labin to the coastal town of Rabac. The charming terrace had a sweeping view of the surrounding countryside and distant hills. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly (especially to children, who could play further along the terrace) despite the limited understanding of English by the waiters. The food was pleasant without being exceptional. Desert came complimentary. Recommended for a v peaceful and relaxed setting.
