  Felt completely at home

  These apartments are not flash and modern, they are much better than that. The house was built over a century ago, and it has only a few changes to bring it up to todays needs. It is spacious, comfortable and its view over Golden Bay makes it an idyllic place to stay. Our hosts were charming and helpful, and it was so nice to know that our accommodation had been enhanced by their combined creative talents.

  Well appointed, amazing views, friendly hosts

  We had a fantastic four night stay for three adults at 'The Loft' at 'Villa 10'. This was a cosy and well appointed apartment with picturesque views across Tasman Bay. 'The Loft' is located within easy driving distance to the Nelson CBD, other local attractions, supermarkets, etc. It also serves as a convenient base for day trips out to any of the three national parks which are only a short (1-2 hour) drive away from Nelson. The only 'downside' of 'The Loft' would be the traffic noise from the main road running along the bottom of the hill but this was manageable. Thank you to our hosts who were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We unreservedly recommend 'The Loft' and hope to visit again soon.

  Perfect place and apartment

  We had to come back to the loft apartment at Villa 10 two years after our first stay there. This is where to take advantage of the super Nelson weather, with a perfect view over the bay towards Abel Tasman. Its a very comfortable, spacious and well appointed apartment conveniently located for bayside restaurants (even with the Boat Shed and the Boathouse closed during our stay after being damaged in an exceptionally high tide the previous week) and a short drive over the hill into the charming town. Owners Graham and Jenny live downstairs and have plenty of friendly helpful advice. We soon got used to the traffic noise from the busy bayside road below. We wouldnt hesitate to book it again.

  Memory Lane - A Re-visit

  We first stayed at The Loft 15 years ago on our mid life honeymoon and absolutely loved it. It was a simple decision to return during our South Island road trip. When we walked in the door it was such a heartstopping moment to see that nothing had changed. It's timeless interior shows how much thought has gone into this apartment. Jenny is a very talented former textile artist whose work is part of the fabric of the rooms. Her equally talented artist sister, Sally, also has pieces set about. Graham was very helpful with a minor fix on the tv. The property is very well situated with wonderful sea views and sunsets. We unconditionally recommend it.

  The Worst Thing About this Place?...Leaving! :)

  This apartment is a beautifully decorated home with amazing views of Nelson Bay. When my guidebook stated that one of the best things about visiting Nelson was watching the tide roll in and out, I chuckled, thinking that sounds relaxing. I had no idea how mesmerizing the experience would be from Villa 10. I almost hated to leave to go on our daily excursions! Jenny and Graham are wonderful hosts. You can't ask for more.
