Good, except the old mans attitudeWe went to Belgrade for some official work which we did not expect would take a month, we stayed at Vila Bulevar from the 22nd May to 20 June, the rooms were of top quality for the price we paid, the first week we stayed in a room which was 50 euros a day with tax, after a week we discovered that we need to stay longer than a week due to which we moved into a different room for 30 euros a day which was as good as the first one & we really liked it here, sirjan the owners son is a very nice person & he looked after us... However, initially we thought that the owner (old man) had problem with us because we are Indians but we noticed that he was the same with all the guests irrespective of from where they came or how they looked, at times he was very rude but we decided that it's best to just ignore him & deal with the son... The 3 weeks that we stayed in the second room, the cleaner came in only twice, we used to empty the trash ourselves in the garbage bin out by the road as we were told that the cleaner comes in the morning & leaves by 1 everyday, we managed somehow... I feel this place is good for short stay as it is very reasonable, well maintained & make sure you deal with the son and not the Old Man...

Excellent choice for my conference at The National Library of SerbiaDespite other reviews I found the staff very pleasant and extremely helpful. The hotel is extremely affordable so I wasn't expecting too much. But I had a really large bedroom with large screen TV (there was a smaller second bedroom that I didn't use). There was a huge bathroom with an excellent shower. Breakfast was modest but fine, with cold meats, hot sausages and boiled eggs, good filter coffee, cereals and bread and jam etc. About 1/2 hour walk into the library which I personally like but only 3 stops on the bus which is more or less door to door. Perfect for my needs on this occasion.

Poor service and facilitiesThe service in the guest house is really poor. During my two week stay my room has been "cleaned" once (!). The facilities and room furniture looks new but is low quality so that things are broken or malfunctioning (bathroom lock doesn't work, shower head sprays water all around, etc.). The owner's dog is being locked up at the back of the house where he barks constantly (also on sunday mornings!). I would only stay here if absolutely necessary and not longer than one night.

Neglected hotel on bad locationNOT RECOMMENDED! We were shocked by the level neglect in this hotel ( see pictures): big crumbs on the carpet ( not vacumed), one TV did not work, kitchen counter with a huge sticky stain and one ring on the stove did not work, dishes in the cabinet were greacy and there was no dishwashing liquid, black mould in the bathroom, heeting partly did not work, literary half of bulbs did not work, one of 2 TVs did not work, we did not get toilet paper when we asked on oir last day, kitchen contained only a pan and a small coffe pot, no pot to cook even spageti, no cutting board, no salad bowl, ( we got a pot after asking for it), fridge was very small, a big stain on the carpet, dirty terace with a plastic table but no chairs, each room had 2 plugs - one for TV and one for lamp - so no free plugs to charge phone, no lobby or place to have a coffee or something to eat after breakfast and nothing of this kind in the near surounding of the hotel, and the list goes on and on and on. We even did not get the appartment we booked ! - we reserved an apartment with two dubble bedrooms and got one with one dubble and one twin. Finally we chose this hotel because we were told by the hotel that it was 10 min walking from the hospital ( which was purpose ofnour visit)- turned out it was 30 ( acording to google maps)! We had to take cab. For 40 eur/ night/ 2 persons without breakfast we found this hotel utterly overpriced and unacceptedly neglected for Belgrade. No wonder hotel has policy to ask for payment uppon arrival - we would not stay there if we did not have late check in and helth problems which made moving too stressfull for us. The only good thing in the hotel are the receptionists: kind, professional and genuinly caring.

Pleasant stayStayed here for 2 nights. for a football match. Welcome from receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable although the carpet had seen better days and had a lot of stains. Friends room was twice the size of mine for same price, luck of draw!, breakfast was ok although on. 2nd day when more people there when things run out eg orange juice, croissants, they were not topped up, seemed to be once gone that was it, not good when breakfast is 7-10 and was their at 9!! Location was excellent for the football, 3 minute walk from ground although it is about 9km from centre of Belgrade.
