  Great bed

  Maybe it was because I have spent a couple of weeks in hostels, sleeper trains and on hard beds, but I thought the bed in this hotel was particularly luxurious, with four big fluffy pillows (and a menu to select others if I wanted). The room itself was great, with a wee chaise longue to lay about on as well as a decent sized desk and good chair. It had a marbled entrance then regular carpet. The TV was flatscreen but the only English language was CCTV News. No problems with wifi, including through my VPN. Check in and out was entirely without drama - I don't think the fellow had much English but he was kind and helpful. Be aware that a deposit will be required - I paid 200 Yuan. Breakfast was included but a bit lacklustre. Apart from being just two blocks up from the train station and local bus station, the other great thing is that right next door is the Deer Sea Food Coffee Bar - don't be put off by the name or the boring outside: inside was very ornate, the menu is in English and the meal I had was really good - a delicately cumin flavoured beef with bok choy and capsicums on claypot rice. If I'd had more to do in Xiangyang, I would have happily stayed much longer.

  good hotel but breakfast not so good

  stayed at this hotel for a week for a business trip,hotel is good.Rooms are big enough and having comfortable bed.you will have problem with english speaking staff,not many people can speak english.breakfast is typical chinese type.location is ok and not so bad.

  It's not luxury but if your on a budget it doable

  The staff are friendly, it's cheap and includes breakfast. The rooms are tired, not luxury but the beds are comfy. Wear some plastic sandals in the shower but otherwise ok. A good restaurant across the road that is well priced.

  Palatial, but lousy

  Check-in was slow and one got the sense that English was not something they wanted to speak. They actually sent a man to the room when I called the front desk to help connect to the wifi, but he had no clue so...no wifi. Big room, nice woman at the tea shop. The massage women were dressed for more than massage. Same wallpaper as my grandmother.
