  A comfortable Hotel On the majestic Volga

  The city of Astrakhan lies along the banks of the majestic Volga river. Hotel Victoria palas is located on one of the branches of the river that cuts through the city. The hotel is very well maintained, offers spacious rooms and all modern facilities. The rooms are spacious enough for two persons and a small family. The restaurant offers a nice variety of mainly continental menu. The TV in the rooms run mainly Russian channels. The bathrooms are clean, spacious and provide a bathtub. The hotel has a small bar cum restaurant in a park just at the entrance which is a very nice location to share a drink with friends and family. Best of all it is located right next to a must see walk way (if i may call it that) along the Volga river. The place is a must visit at night as you have all boats docked next to it which serve the tourists as bar cum restaurants. Fountains and metal statues decorate the walkway and offer a very relaxing and scenic walk. a highly recommended hotel.

  Business hotel in Astrakhan

  I've been several times in this hotel due to business trips and I never had any problem/complain. Victoria Hotel is very useful hotel in Astrakhan, not so far from city center and in a good area, Staff is prepared and ready to help. Having there only breakfasts, it was continental one and with a normal offer of food and beverages. During the summer season, the bar on the square in fornt of the hotel (belonging to him) is a good option to get a drink or a dinner outside.

  Good choice

  I arrived late after long journey but receptionist was friendly and spoke English. The room was a bit old fashioned but clean and with balcony with view of city and canal. Breakfast choice was limited but sufficient. The hotel is in a good location just a 15 minute walk to Kremlin and Volga river. There is a good Russian restaurant over the bridge then turn right. The only disappointment was that the upstairs bar was closed and the lobby bar had run out of beer! Otherwise i was happy with my stay at this hotel.

  Good value - good location

  We spent there 8 nites, a good choice. Near Volga + Kremlin + museums. The nearby market was 700m though. Peaceful and clean place to stay. Good food and really nice staff, though not being a tourist town, Astrakhan has to improve the English skills of the people working with tourism!
