  Great Place, awesome views

  A true piece of paradise on earth. Nicely remote, beautiful views. Very kind and helpful staff. Croft was ultra clean, very cosy with fireplace and comfy. We particularly liked the basic luxury without being posh. Fits nicely in environment. Will come back!

  Beauty midst the Mountains

  Well appointed Crofts, nice and private, set among a tree filled kilo of Andre the escarpment. The rolling hills surround a long lovely valley through which the Crocodile river flows. Fishing well stocked dams for trout or well kept banks of the river one is surrounded by beauty, Below the resort is a dairy farm and varied fresh produce and meals are available from the reception area. Well certainly be back! However the only negative is currently the road into the resort. Not the resorts fault , it is under repair but has a very long stop and go amidthe construction and repairs and road quality is poor but manageable.

  Brilliant pastoral excellent staff & food

  So loved our 5 days there. Crofts perfectly appointed and comfortable. Sit outside and view dramatic scenery while watching grey monkeys, springbok, many species of bird. Lovely sounds. Nature walk reveals the long ago history of indigenous populations and terracing techniques for farming. The main center serves outstanding food especially the bread, but everything we ate was fresh, local, tasty. Staff always smiling and friendly. An excellent experience.

  Beyond Amazing

  Verlorenkloof is a tranquil resort nestled in the Mpumalanga mountain ranges. This resort with a difference envelopes you with a smile of welcome and a hint of the grandeur to follow. A self catering experience with a difference, with Heidi and her team pampering to your every need. All hi done with a smile and a wave... Beautiful laid out stone thatched crofts, reminiscent of auld Scotland, and crafted with indigenous sourced material takes you back to the years of yore. Hi along bubbling brooks stimulates the taste buds for hot home baked buttered bread from the farm house store. Later on, experience the milking of the cows, playing with the calves, bottle feeding them and then buying your own litre of milk for a delightful cuppa of fresh brewed tea and scones from the oven. End your day in your own boma with a traditional pap and "vleis" braai.... Awake the next morning and experience another day in paradise.... Verlorenkloof awaits you .

  The beautiful valley

  What a lovely, peaceful place where you can find solitude in a perfect natural setting! The crofts are well appointed and serviced twice daily, so all members of the family can have a holiday. Lots of activities for the family - in the outdoors! Rock pools for a refreshing swim. Picnic spot for spending long afternoons. Deli-restaurant with high quality and delicious food and fresh farm milk and home made butter, yoghurt and labneh. Hiking and biking trails and trout fishing. This is heaven on earth.
