  Pleasant stay in the Weinviertel

  Hotel Veltlin is situated at the end of Poysdorf, in the middle of the vinyards and with it's own Golf club, dedicated obviously to the wine topic. Although only stayed for one night, we were happy with our big family room and the quality, as well as the service of the hotel. The in-house restaurant offers delicious food alongside friendly service. All in all a pleasant stay around an hour north of Vienna and close to the border with the Czech Republic.

  A Romantic Destination

  Hotel Veltlin is an outstanding place to stay if you are visiting Poysdorf. The owner is most welcoming, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the bathrooms are modern. My wife and I stayed in a first floor room with a southern exposure and a balcony overlooking the vineyard of Weingut Neustifter, our favorite producer in Poysdorf. We spent an hour bundled up on the balcony in the cool fall air enjoying after dinner drinks, as I smoked a very good cigar. Our dinner was first class fine dining experience, excellent food accompanied by excellent wines, served by an excellent waiter. The dining room is decorated in contemporary vineyard art. The next days buffet breakfast included cooked to order eggs, a good selection of premium Austrian fruit juices, as well as Sekt. Highly recommended.

  Wonderful

  We charged our Tesla here, and ate at the restaurant. What an experience! In the middle of a vineyard we got excellent wine, perfect service and great food! I tried three different wines and ended up buying them all. 50% discount when bought from the hotel! As a winelover, I just loved, loved, loved this place! The food was so good, lots of vegetables. Both the pulled pork and the turkey burger were good. This is a hidden pearl.

  1 night stay

  Hotel Veltlin is not a 4 star hotel but a good 3 star hotel. The price I paid for 1 night 142 is too high for the services they offer. Especially compared with the 4 and 5 star hotels I booked in Italy during this trip and the services these hotels offer. Dinner in the evening, 26 per person, was really good.

  Great Place to stay

  We stayed here several times since 2015 and we are always looking forward to it. The Hotel is now running under a new owner (Neustifter) and we have to say it even got better. From the check-in were you will be greeted with a wine tasting, a voucher for even more wine tasting at the restaurant, over the staff and their friendliness all the way to the great breakfast buffet. Can't say anything negative about this place. Prices are very affordable and reasonable. Don't forget to check out the restaurant and the funtastic wine selection
