  Large room, great service, nice location

  This is a large hotel, situated right outside the city in lovely surroundings. The hotel has large rooms, in several buildings and great parking. Great service and good breakfast. It is next to Aqua Akvarium & Zoo. Excellent for families. Every guest or group has a reserved table for breakfast, thats different...

  Simple but comfy

  Very simple rooms with no frills. The rooms in the main building are fine. The ones outside the main building are very small and only suitable for a night. Breakfast is good. The Aquarium is lovely and the people working in the park are very helpful and glad to talk about the animals.

  European Trip

  Very nice location and hotel. Outstanding staff and very adequate rooms. Loved the fact that it was located close to the areas that were important to us. The staff was quick to respond to any and all request and also provide us great insight and recommendations on local attractions and place to shop and eat.

  Perfect location

  Take a change famous ABBA Song. In this case it was a very good change to take. Vejlsøhus Hote was an excellent choice. Close to the forest, lakes, city centre, museums etc. Warm welcome in reception, room are average size with good working desk, tv, good toilet and very nice view of the forest. Bed could be better (but bed always difficult to rate). Breakfast was good and enough of it. Free parking and enough parking places. Asked for a running route, different choice. Possible to rent a MBK as well. Strongly recommend to run or bike in the forest surrounded the Hotel. A very good 3 star hotel. Without any doubts I strongly recommend this hotel.

  Stay in the beautiful Nature of Silkeborg

  Vejlsøhus is located so beautifully between forest and Lake. The staff are welcoming - at least the few that I saw. Annonced my late arrivel to the receptionist before the start if the stay - and was told that the reception would be open until 6 p.m. I arrived at 17.30 in rain, debris and darkness. Impressive, the place looked from the car - so big and beautiful. My joy dropped slightly as I made my way to the entrance. An envelope was pasted with tape on the door to the hotel, on which my name was written in capital letters. Get off the tape, open the envelope - and there in the dark - whitout an eye - I would have to figure out how to get in. I succeeded - and inside the hotel I could read through information and to do quietly. Into the elevator and up to the fourth floor - all alone - without meeting a human being and without hearing a single sound. It is problably the most empty and sad meeting I have ever had with a hotel. Food and drink for the evening I had in my suitcase - the kitchen was not open this Saturday evening. The room was fine and mega hot. In the washbasin were leftover toothpaste from previous guest. Breakfast buffet was okay and space was reserved at the buffet with name. Definitely a beautiful place - its just not a place I will visit again. The best thoughts for Vejlsøhus from me.
