  Estuve un fin de semana en 2008. Las habitaciones súper bonitas , el servicio impecable , unas vistas preciosas hacia el Danubio , habitaciones de fumadores y no fumadores claro . Un poquito caro pero la calidad y el trato lo merece.

  A view of the river if you pay extra

  Stayed here for two nights during a business trip, it is probably the best hotel in town but relatively basic compared to most hotels. The decor in the room is modern but the quality of furnishing and workmanship is not equivalent to the claimed four star rating. It was not especially clean and came with basic toiletries and a kettle but not much coffee or tea was provided. The 'executive' rooms apparently have nespresso coffee machines and the extra few euros may be a worthwhile additional expense. Below is a bar which seems to be quite popular and it serves drink and food at very reasonable prices compared to the normal European prices however most clients seemed to leave and go to other restaurants in the evening. My breakfast in the morning was included and although a fairly ecclectic - perhaps dislexic would be a better word - selection it was adequate and the coffee was good. Not sure why's anyone would come here for a vacation but i would not recommend it for more than one or two nights as it has no real leisure options apart from the bar. Gelati is on the Danube but it is (or was) an industrial town and would never have been particularly scenic even before all the local industrial units fell into terminal disrepair.

  Pleasant staff, nicely appointed, basic facilities.

  Staff very friendly and willing to assist with information et cetera. Hotel is clean and tidy. Restaurant is a bit hit or miss. The food is nice but if there is more than 1 person eating when you are, the kitchen can get overwhelmed and you end up eating starters 4 hours after ordering. For the price of the hotel and food, it's excellent value and recommended to stay there.

  Decent hotel with great views of Danube

  Over the last 6-7 years I have stayed at many hotels in central and semi-central Galati. Last Saturday was my second stay at this hotel. One night only... I did requested in advance a standard room on the 10-th floor with a balcony and my request was granted. Thank you! Room was large enough, clean, with flat screen TV, kettle with coffee and tea provided, clean bathroom with clean towels and some basic toiletries. Bed was comfy! East view over the city and Danube fron the narrow balcony was spectacular. Continental breakfast was all cold (including cold fried eggs and cold burned omlette). Coffee was decent. This is the most expensive hotel in central Galati and I am not quite sure is worth the money...

  Best location and rooms in Galati

  We stayed at this hotel for three years in a row now, either in one of the Executive rooms or the Presidential suite, which sounds fancy but is a very decently priced and spacious apartment. By far, this is the hotel in Galati with the best view of the Danube and Danube's boardwalk. The hotel staff is excellent, very helpful when needed. The hotel's bar is also very nice, the bartenders there are really professional. Whenever we will travel to Galati to see family, that's the place where we will stay and I would highly recommend this to you.
