  Please don't book. Standards have deteriorated

  Vedic village has deteriorated. covid rules were flouted,. rooms were dirty. After booking and paying for a water villa and upon reaching we were told the room has plumbing issues so they can't accommodate us in anything else apart from a downgraded room. We were told all of this after making us wait for over two hours. the scariest part of all of this is attention to hygiene (staff not wearing masks, not enforcing guests to wear masks, no sanitiser at the reception table) is completely lacking. To make the stay worse we were placed in one of the worst located rooms - as it was next to the area where there was wedding mandaps - so it was loud with music + drums etc- with no privacy as wedding attendees could see in to our balcony. Please don't book if you want a safe and fun stay.

  Anniversary Stay at Vedic Village!

  The property is quite beautiful set amidst lush greens and artificial lakes and a lotus pond with a fountain in between ! The swimming pool, restaurants and the chai/pastry shop add a neat touch to the place.. throw in views to a gorgeous sunset or a dinner table by the pool on a full moon night and you'll probably picture a perfect romantic setting.. I stayed in the lake view cottage and the room was huge, plush and gorgeous, loved the complimentary basket of fruits and a jar of delicious chocolates left in the living room when we checked in. Food in the restaurant is quite good and my overall experience was great and so was the hospitality! They also have an amazing spa and you can avail a spa during your stay and find out about activities to do in the property like renting a bicycle etc.

  Awesome Experience

  This visit to vedic village was worth in every aspect. I booked the room viewing lake as it was so beautiful. Food is bit pricey but worth paying. Also I got extra half hour to pack my things on the day I left. The staff is also very polite and instant respond. A best weekend gateway place to be with family, friends and couples as well

  Be Wary of Negative Reviews by Indians!

  I'm well-travelled in India, and one thing I've learned over the years is to be wary of complaints by Indians (and sorry to all you very nice Indians!), but I feel obliged to point something out about the negative reviews here. I have seen many Indians (and I emphasise: not ALL!) being exceptionally rude to hotel staff, barking orders, treating workers badly, and I can guarantee that these types have the same problems with their own staff at home. Some people just don't know how to behave properly, and will cause upset and chaos wherever they go. They act like theyre the only guests: there is no consideration that other guests also need to be attended to,or that they are not the sole occupants of a room, that they didn't buy the hotel, they just rented a room there, and that everyone else has to tolerate them and their bad attitude. What I have seen of Vedic Village staff is their unending tolerance of such people. VV is an enormous and rambling place that is full of delightful gardens, alcoves, lakes, walkways, wildlife, and miles of gorgeous Bengal greenery: and that's without mentioning the fabulous dining. They offer a wide range of services over the 150 acre property, and do their utmost to serve everyone in the same manner: efficiently and politely. Customers with bad attitudes are of course worldwide. But please know that VV, like other premises, is often spoken of unfairly by these types. I highly recommend it, 5 stars, every time.

  Shout-out to Shaunak and the team at Vedic Village

  I had taken my family to their Aqua Home-3 bedroom bungalow, for celebrating my nephew's 1st birthday. It actually was my family's first trip in 18 years and my family consisted of a year old kid and a 96 year old grandmom. I just wanted everyone to have a good time and I was freaking out that something would go wrong. While plenty of things did go wrong, with the phone not working, my dad losing his patience over not having water to drink and then a small accident where my grandmom and my mom injured themselves, Vedic village team and especially Shaunak went above and beyond to ensure all our concerns were met immediately. A huge shout-out to Shaunak for being extremely generous, efficient and charming when it came to fixing certain issues. It was sweet of him and the team to send across a cake for my Nephew. Another big shout-out to the chef and the kitchen staff and everyone at the restaurant who accommodated to the requirements of my year old nephew and old grandma and made food as instructed (which was excellent that my sister had to ask for the recipe). They also were very helpful during the breakfast buffet, especially catering to my grandma. I would also like to thank the hospitality and the warmth of all the staff at Sanjeeva spa. They were very helpful with the cleaning and bandaging of my mother and my grandmom after their fall. Very very helpful, compassionate and sweet. This was my second time at Vedic Village and the collective effort of the staff made it a great experience. However, as per the bungalow, it could be done slightly better aesthetically. Considering how beautiful the Earth and Lake villas are in the same property, the bungalow just felt like a huge space, and nothing more.
