  Great budget friendly hostel for Backpackers!

  Vedanta is in center if Madikeri and is at walking distance from all the possible attractions and the bus stop. The hostel is clean and has 2 types: a mix bed dorm (6 beds) and a private room (max 2 persons). Rooms are basic and big bathroom. This is not suitor families who don't like bunk beds. Pros: - Affordable - Pocket friendly. Book directly at hostel as there is no rush during off season. - Near City Center and most restaurants Cons: -Torn Blanket and 1 even smelled of urine - Hot Water: Even after waiting 2 min I am not going to waste 3 buckets for hot water. Since it was cold and chilly the point can be excused. And probably was just in this dorm. I hope the management fixes these issues cause it is really good affordable place to stay on budget.

  TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE..DISHONEST STAFF..GREEDY FOR MONEY..

  BOOKED THIS SO CALLED HOTEL FOR A SINGLE DAY 19.05.2018-20.05.2018 via goibibo portal(another cheap site-w/o ethics). Goibibo certify this as a GOSTAY certified hotel. Before travelling I confirmed hotel staff that I will check in very early(apx 05.00 am) on 20.05.2018 and accordingly book that hotel. But after reaching to that hotel , I came to know my confirmed booking , allotted to another person & I will not get a room. They are highly money minded person without moral and ethics, they know only money. They refused to help me and after waiting about 2-3 hours I got my room.A dirty unclean room. Service is very very poor.Hotel staffs are rude, also reluctant. Pls do not book this ONLINE. If u do that, u may land in to a horrible experience. Very bad hotel..

  The cheats at Vedanta

  Goons. Gundas. Greedy businessmen. We booked our rooms-for a group of 23- about 3 weeks prior to our journey to Coorg. 2 days prior to our check in, the hotel sent an email saying the booking is cancelled! The mybooking site through which we booked clearly stated that the payment was to be made on reaching the site. But the hotel goons , or the Thieves, were playing around, saying 1. We did not make the payment And later 2. There is a change in management and the new management will not vouch for the earlier bookings. (Allergic?) Do take our words, whomever is reading this- this hotel has no business ethics. They will get into the sewage, if they see a 1Re coin lying in the clut. Ultra clever Gundas, they are- sure they have given off our rooms to other 'guests' for a higher price. Change of management? Really?

  Oyo is fraud

  Oyo is fraud. When you book rooms in OYo website, the hotel or lodge do not accept the booking from oyo and they ask for additional money at the time of check in. Do not book Oyo. It is fraud. This is really a bad experience from OYo. I request all other travelers to not book from OYO and search for other websites and other hotels. The service is very bad and they are doing big fraud.

  Stay away...

  Unclean rooms. Rest room not clean. Floor tiles are broken. Dirty / stained chairs. It was embarrassing to see these condition rooms for the high price band. Only advantage is very close to KSRTC bus station (walkable).
