The perfect ski hotelMy daughter and I had a lovely relaxing ski holiday together at this hotel. We have used it several time over the past 15 years and I think it just gets better and better. The location is excellent for skiing. You can literally ski from the hotel to the lifts. You can hire skis just outside the hotel. It is situated a good walk from town (40 minutes) but we didnt mind that and happily walked into town a couple of evenings. The room was spacious with twin beds and two balconies. The staff were really helpful. They even provided food to a couple who had missed the evening meal due to their flight getting in late. The food as always was fantastic with a varied menu. The bar was very good and a nice place to relax in. We would definitely return.

Will definitely return. We have just returned from a week at the AlpineResort and were very happy with our stay. The double room we had was comfortable, very clean and a good size. Our son had a single room which again was comfortable, clean and a good size. The food in the restaurant was good quality and plentiful. There is a clean large terrace bar which is open until 8pm and after that we would move to the lovely indoor bar. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful, Mario the barman especially. We are already thinking of returning next year for two weeks.

Best Family Holiday Weve Ever Been On!The Zell am See area is absolutely beautiful. Our family line-up consists of Mom, Dad, Big princess (8) and Little Princess (3) Lets start with the- Room/Hotel: We had one of the suites which we were amazed at how massive it actually was. Regular hotel room looking area in the middle with a twin room bedroom on one side, double bed in the main room c/w sitting area with TV the other side. Room was very clean and had a handy little fridge to keep water bottles cool. As we arrived late on the night the hotel had kindly made up and left a bit of a spread on for us which was in the fridge on arrival. I can imagine that there would be a few comments from fussy travellers about the slightly dated decor in the room, (didnt lose any points for us) but this would only be because the rest of the hotel is so beautifully modern with its decor, whilst still in keeping with a traditional theme throughout. Hotel had a small but perfectly useable pool which was nice to use after a busy day. Staff were all friendly, they were an intimate team who worked extremely hard and long hours. Food: We stayed on an all inclusive basis, breakfast was usual European style c/w a few variations of eggs. Bread, ham, cheese etc were available to make your own packed lunch, it didnt consist of much but kept us going until dinner as the summer card kept us so busy we didnt have time to think of food. Evening meal consisted of salad, soup, 3 choices of main (this you pick at breakfast) and dessert. Our favourite meal by far was the Austrian themed buffet night which you helped yourself to and consisted of various meats, gravy, dumplings, sauerkraut and wedges. Cake and ice cream time between 3-5pm was a hit with our children. The Magical summer card: I call this card magical because it was the reason for the title of this review. This is a freebie given from the hotel (and some other hotels in Zell and Kaprun), it cannot be purchased from anywhere and is specifically given by hotels. It was like the key to Zell Am See and beyond. It got us in EVERYWHERE! We downloaded the summer card app just picked and planned where we wanted to go. It got us free entry into the Lidos by the lake (a must), all mountain lifts (including Kitzsteinhorn which saved us roughly 120 alone), all buses (download ÖBB Scotty app for help with journey planning), trains, Sigmund Thun Gorge, trip to Krimml Waterfalls and much much more. We ended up doing a lot of things that we probably wouldnt have done without the free entry using this card, but now were totally glad we did as the girls really enjoyed them all. It kept us busy all day everyday. I know that this can be an issue with some Brits, but surprisingly we were the only Brits staying at the hotel as we booked it through TUI we thought it would be more popular. This didnt bother us at all as everyone was accommodating. Please dont let this put you off as youll be missing out! Well be going home and 100% recommending this trip and hotel to family & friends.

Wonderful HotelHi, we arrives at the Alpine resort on 25 Jan 2020, the welcoming was fantastic, our room was great, the location of the hotel is brilliant for a ski in ski out to the Schmittenhohe mountain, directly outside are the lifts. The lockers are the best Ive ever seen, inside you can fit all of your ski gear equipment, the boot rack inside is heated, everything about this hotel for sking is perfect,. The meals are very good with a lot of effort into to giving you a nice meal, I suppose if I was being picky there is only a choice of 3 meals in the evening which you have to choose in the morning at breakfast, that said you have salad bar, soup, main course and a desert, the attention to detail in this hotel is great, would I stay here again 100% yes. The walk into town is all downhill and would take 45mins, the walk back would take longer, my advise is get a taxi it takes 5 minutes and costs 12-13 euros. We booked sking lessons with Sport Alpin, we had an instructor called Thomas he was world class, told us where we were going wrong and after that made our holiday more enjoyable. The meeting point is right outside the hotel too, we rented our skies from under the hotel too. Honestly if you are looking for a ski in ski out hotel and want quality look no further it really is brilliant here.

Awesome!Just ended a brilliant week at the Alpine Resort. We booked 2 rooms (2 adults and a teen) on a half board basis. Having requested rooms together we were pleased to find our rooms were directly opposite one another. Bedrooms were perfect: quiet, spacious, 2 comfortable adjoining single beds, amazing views. The food was superb. Warm and hearty with an excellent choice each morning and night. We were allocated a table at the start of our stay which was ours each mealtime... A lovely touch. The staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly (especially the 2 young ladies and Croatian chap - sorry we didn't get your names!!!). Ski in/out was fantastic. With easy access via the hotel to our lockers we could easily be ready and on the slopes within minutes of leaving our hotel room. Hotel facilities (sauna etc) were a welcome addition after a very long days skiing! Very impressed and would definitely recommend this lovely find.
