Most helpful staffThe hotel manager George and his assistant Anna are worthy of mention as being the most friendly and helpful. The hotel is kept really clean and the facilities are excellent. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay and the manager was very helpful when we had a problem. Recommended for the friendliness of the hotel staff.

Excellent stay at the Vasia Village hotelCozy small-scale hotel in a beautiful location. Beautiful clean rooms where everything is present what you need on holiday only the safe is a bit small especially for the price you have to pay. Staff is very obliging and nothing is too much of them, hat off for the manager. Nice large pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols even to the children is thought with an appart part for the smallest and even for the slightly larger children both with slides. As far as the All Inn system is concerned enough choice of beverage and refreshments. Regarding the kitchen, breakfast was very varied with freshly squeezed apple juice every morning and more than enough choice even with children, afternoon and evening food could be a little more varied but everything was present and tasty. We want to thank everyone again for the good care and we will definitely come back again.

Look no further!!!Mrs Hateman handles all the holidays in this household. I spent 23 years self employed so didn't really take time off. My lack of experience means I defer all such decisions to her, and as she assured me that this was a deal we couldn't turn down, I pitched up in Crete on June 9th. Well, that's not entirely true, June 9th is when we left Gatwick and was the original plan. This was to be not only my first time on the Island, but my first experience of all inclusive hospitality. Various delays meant we arrived exhausted at the hotel at 03:00 on Sunday 10/06/18. Immediate impressions were good, a cheery duty manager (Who we never saw again) welcomed us, gave us a bag of sandwiches and fruit and even found someone to escort us to our room. Shattered as I was, there is always time to eat. We awoke, bleary eyed, at 09:00 and had a look around. The environment: What can I say without going into excruciating detail? This place was superb. I haven't posted on this site without reading previous reviews about this place and all I can say is that anyone who had negative experiences was either very unlucky or has excruciatingly exacting standards. The room: Perfectly adequate and comfortable. All the furniture and fittings were to a high standard and cleaned daily. No views from our accommodation, but so what? I didn't travel this far to sit in the room! The location: Too tired to take much notice upon arrival, but exploration the next morning revealed the restaurant and lobby at the front and beyond this, the road to Sissi. (Turn left) To the rear there were children's pools, well kept apartments and grounds, an impressively equipped pool and bar, lower terrace including another bar all topped off by being 50m from the sea. Watch the sunset from here if you can. Wow!! Sissi was a "two cigarette" walk to the right along the path, an expression I was taught by a local bartender. The food: The grub was varied and tasty. Not everything was to my taste, but they aren't just accommodating me. And if you don't want to taste anything different I suggest you holiday in your own country. Let's just say I put on 2 kilos over the holiday and never felt hungry. Always managed to fill my boots, and I can't say that about some places I've stayed in the UK. Other guests: I believe my wife and I were the only English guests (Mrs H is of Indian descent) and at no time did we feel we received inferior service. My impression was that most of the guests were German, with a splattering of French (Belgian?), and possibly Eastern European holidaymakers. If this was my hotel I would cater for those that paid the bills, and make no apologies for it. I must be honest, I did sometimes feel that some of the other guests were rude, but some were also charming. Manners are often a matter of perception and cultural differences. I have no doubt that some of the other guests were upset at things that I did, and guess what? I've met loads of rude English people, as well!. Swings and roundabouts. The staff: I have saved the best till last. Every last man and woman was cheerful, helpful and unfazed by any problem. All seemed (To my shame) to be multi-lingual and didn't laugh at my attempts to mispronounce the few Greek words I had gleaned. I am terrible with names, so I hope I have got the characters correct, and spelt correctly too. Whilst everyone showed exceptional customer service, George, Varvala and Katarina were those that I had most contact with. No matter how inconvenient the timing was, no matter how inebriated the questioner was, no matter how many times the same question was asked*, everyone smiled and dealt with us in a genuinely cheerful and professional manner. This can only happen with a happy team working under a great leader. Well done all. * As departure approached we asked the team for details of our transfer to Heraklion. After extensive internet by the staff we were furnished with the answer, which we promptly forgot! I will reiterate that this is my first experience of all inclusive hospitality, but if you are looking for any better than this, all I can say is: Lots of luck!!! If further proof were needed: Mrs H is an explorer. She never goes anywhere twice. But even she is talking about a return to Vasia Village with our children and grandchildren in the not too distant future. Do not hesitate to stay at this complex. If you are looking for accommodation in this area: Look no further!!!

Smooth running well managed hotelWe have just returned from a week in Sissi at this hotel. The weather was not as we would have liked but I cannot let that influence my review of the hotel. Firstly I would like to say the shared transfer from Heraklion took far longer than we expected so we arrived very late and the reception area was almost empty of people. We were booked in rapidly by management and provided with a clean room, if a little spartan, for the week. Food was provided by way of a uninviting sandwich and fruit. Thoughtful but not very inspiring. Needless to say we didn't eat it. The landscape looked magnificent the next day and we couldn't wait to explore. We walked along the coastal road but all we saw was litter and detritus every inch of the road away from Sissi. Such a shame that a beautiful place should allow such neglect of the very environment which attracts visitors in the first place. The road into Sissi itself was no less inspiring with neglected buildings and desolate areas. I really couldn't understand why a resort which relied on tourism could allow such neglect. The hotel itself ran like a well oiled machine. The staff are it's most precious asset. Particularly the waiting staff in the restaurant who were exemplary in their attention and so pleasant despite the winding down of the season. Katrina at the bar pool was however very abrupt and dismissive. I wondered if she was going through some personal trauma that affected her lack of warmth or politeness. The other staff manning the beach bar on the other hand were always wonderful and attentive every time we went there. What a joy to see such hard working people. Food was what you'd expect and we always managed to find something we enjoyed. Once again the two ladies serving drinks were so attentive and always new what it was you wanted. If you don't intend to leave the hotel then I expect you'll enjoy your holiday. It is a middle range hotel doing as well as it can within the constraints of its environmen. Sissi itself was such a disappointment yet it had all the potential to be so much better. Clean up the streets address the litter problem and get rid of the tacky tourist shops. A beautiful spot made worse by human disregard. I will not be returning.

Hotel Vasia Village - ReviewMe and my family were there for one week, very lovely! We had a wonderful view of the ocean, the staff was nice and there was good service in the dining room and bar. However, there were a lot of negatives: - The hotel room When you enter, there is basically an empty space. It is supposed to be the kitchen/living room area, but its just a hallway with a refrigerator. No table or chairs. Then there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. We had to go to the reception and ask for a small coffee table and two chairs, in order to have somewhere else to sit besides on the beds. - NO LOCK to the bathroom I don't think I need to elaborate on that one.. - Poor AC The AC did not seem to have been replaced... ever. One night, it turned off completely, which meant that it was impossible to sleep, as it was about 40 degrees in the rooms. - Poor internet connection The wi-fi connection was very weak pretty much all around the hotel. It worked perfectly okay around the pole area, but only if you paid for your own wi-fi.
