  A cozy kind of place

  My girl friend and I spent the night on our driving tour of backcountry Colorado. The staff was warm and inviting, very professional. The place is easy to get to and just a short walk from downtown. The rooms were comfortable, clean and beautiful with lovely detail like crown molding throughout. We were on the second floor with a terrific veranda running the length of the floor, table and chairs and access to the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

  Needs a bit of work, but still a nice place to stay

  We have come back to the Inn at Crested Butte, having loved it when we stayed here previously a few years ago. It has been a bit disappointing. Everything looks very tired - lots of stains on the carpets, very old fashioned rooms, holes in the washcloths, lumpy pillows. I think a general update and refurb is greatly needed and would really help bring this place back to the 'boutique hotel' it claims to be. The staff are very lovely, but not very proactive. Each day at breakfast there have been things which have run out and we've had to ask for, and when we checked in we weren't asked whether we needed any local info, or if we had stayed before. The breakfast isn't good - the only non-beige items were some apples, which looked as though they had been sat there for weeks. A bit of fresh fruit, some yogurt choices and perhaps better cereal would make a huge difference. The evening wine hour, which was a lovely touch, has also been dropped. But you can't help but like the Inn. The staff are really sweet, and the location in town is perfect. If they are able to bring everything up to date, we will definitely be back to try it again.

  Terrible, location is the only good thing about this Inn.

  Worst place we have ever stayed. Not at all like the pictures. We upgraded to a mountain view. Upon arrival the room was very hot, and musty smelling. The bedding looked like it had been there for 20 years. Very small room, dirty carpet. The balcony was filthy as was the breakfast area, rotten handrails and the outdoor carpet around the hot tub was half up, half down. There is not a wine reception as advertised and when I ask about it the clerk said under new ownership and didn't do that anymore. The morning breakfast was a joke. At 8:00 the girl was just getting there, finally got some things together with about 8 people waiting. The food was quickly emptied and I told the person that and she said "already" and just kept sitting behind the desk.

  Grew on me

  Comfortable bed and convenient location. Continental breakfast was better than at many places--plain yogurt, cereal, hard-boiled eggs and some pastries, so was welcome. No wine and cheese, mentioned by others. Clean but relatively basic. A bit worn, but not cookie cutter.

  Super Cute and Reasonable!

  Quaint hotel, great rooms, terrific spot, close to town. The concierge leaves for the night, but they leave you with adequate information and emergency numbers, if needed. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms are huge. Great little old hotel!
