  Almost a week at the castle - excellent!!

  In July I had to travel to Heerlen again - like for the past 2 years and again hotel was needed for like 4 nights. So here is what I found: - location - well literally out there in the woods (at the outskirts of Heerlen) in a great park. lots of hiking trails here - excellent for biking or running or simply walking through this area. Rooms are located in what seems to be a former castle - not sure if they have rooms in the main building - but in the courtyard in the so called annex buildings all around are rooms. The room I had - very spacious - excellent bed, perfect bathroom with tub and shower booth - dependent on the mood you can choose what you want to use. TV, mini-bar, strong Wi-fi signal in the room, reading/relaxing corner once you climbed the spiral (see in the pics). Overall what can I say more.. great room.(since is a historical building no AC). Staff - they were very helpful - every morning they got me a cab- very good english speaking so no issue on the communication. Check in and check out went really smooth and fast. Breakfast - very good selections - the buffet was loaded with a good variety of meats, cheese, fruit and the classics , scrambled eggs, bacon and beans. They have the restaurant working also - in later rew I let you know about that 1 too. Prices - not cheap but I would say well worth the money spent and I consider it mid-range. Overall great experience - next year I try to back the same hotel when I go back to Heerlen , I do recommend you try it.

  Matinee in a Limburg historical castle

  For almost 0 years we monthly join the Sunday matinee in Kasteel Ter Worm.(near Heerlen NL) Always a full day pleasure! Combined with a night stay in the hotel you can enjoy a splendid 6 course menu based on a seasonal theme and wine region. There is a fabulous terrace. Most of the time there is also a happening (opera, wine tasting, ). Very nice staff and management make you feel at home... Rooms are very spacious and stylish. Some give direct access to a little private garden. In the morning you can enjoy a perfect breakfast with coupe de champagne and view over the beautiful castle garden There are bikes and scooters for rent to explore the region, The hills around give you ample opportunity to get rid of your excess calories. But if you prefer a city trip, Maastricht and Aachen, both historical cities are nearby. Really, a remarkable experience. In absence of Adam and Eve's paradise, you can search for shelter in the Kasteel Ter Worm... there is no need to look for the proverbial apple tree... .

  Nice venue

  We stayed here during Covid restrictions so the breakfast was collection service only - we were disappointed as the hotel had not made this clear. Our booking included a VIP breakfast and we got a choice of wraps or sandwiches - not great when I try not to eat much gluten! Dinner was nice and the staff were attentive. We also stayed at Engelenburg Castell and I would recommend this more than TerWorm!

  anniversary celebration

  for our 50 years marriage we have got a overnight present in this Castle in the Tower "Bruidssuite", and a excellent diner and breakfast.. it was an amazing experience to be here in this castle, the garden and area

  Nicely restored castle with good restaurant

  This castle is a hidden gem for a nice romantic weekend and the restaurant they have offers a good selection for eating a la carte or taking 3, 4, 5 or 6 courses menus. The wine list is very elaborate and covers multiple countries of origin and regions. The rooms are located inside the small castle and the surrounding buildings that made up the farmer estate in previous times. The restoration and conversion to hotel with a fine restaurant was done about 20 years.
