  Nice stay in quiet surroundings

  We stayed two nights at this hotel and found it very comfortable. The cheque in was ok but we run into some issues about prepaid stay. Otherwise the experience at this hotel was very good. The room was very big and comfotable. The brekafast was served in a nice reaturant and we found it very good. We can clearly recommend a stay at this hotel that lies close to the motorway but was nontheless verty quiet.

  A Bit Mixed

  We had been to some other hotels in this chain so thought it would be a more pleasant visit than it turned out. The appearance was fine & there was lots of space, which is usual for a Van der Valk hotel, very clean & nice decor, good parking too so no problems there. Anyhow, we arrived mid afternoon looking just for coffee & pastries & as there was no-one on duty a call was made from reception. We placed our order & the waitress seemed a little put-out at having to look after us. Our items arrived & when we asked to pay a little later we were slightly overcharged. When we pointed this out to the waitress she just handed back the difference & no word of apology, so a little disappointing. Not really good customer service .

  Great place to stay.

  We stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed are stay. The staff were fantastic and breakfast had one of the largest selections of high wit food we have had. The dinner was also of a standard you would expect at a high end restaurant. Also great to be able to hire quality bikes. We will definitely be back. We had a ground floor garden room which I think would be the one to choose.

  Very good hotel and restaurant

  We have stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Also for our purpose, a short cycle holiday, this hotel has a perfect location. The hotel and restaurant had taken clear and more than sufficient meausures because the Corona situation. We felt very safe. Friendly and competent staff. The room was spotless cleaned and large. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. A suggestion however: we had a room at the ground floor with a small terrace outside. Our neighbours on both sides too. That space is heavily used for outside smoking, which you could smell in our room when we had a window open. Our advice to the management of the hotel is to forbid smoking on these small, half covered, spaces in which the smoke keeps lingering...

  Spacious hotel - excellent food

  During Covid-19 we are always apprehensive about how hotels setup customers to keep safe, but this hotel did a fantastic job. The room on the ground floor was spacious and had a view over the garden which was lovely. The only complaint was that it had not been vacuumed before we went in, so the carpets were quite filthy. But one call to the front desk and housekeeping came immediately (you would have got 5-stars though had you simply done this!). Food was excellent and as a vegan and I was impressed to be told that the kitchen took a recent decision to only use coconut oil and no butters - kudos! Thank you to 2 special people .. firstly the lady who cooked our omelets at breakfast (sorry did not get your name), and Johannes who did a sterling job in the bar with his attentive service. Will stay again and recommend to others also.
