  "Demasiado lejos,... de la K"

  Me he alojado más de una semana, durante toda la feria K, y lo peor ha sido el horrible trafico hasta llegar a Dusseldorf. Las habitaciones son amplias con una cama confortable. El desayuno completo y variado. La cena, carta o buffet. El buffet no es de mucha calidad pero el precio demasiado alto. Nada que destacar.

  Old dark and worn rooms terrible food

  We visited the hotel for one night driving thru Germany. We got an old and worn room, the cleaning standard was low found a used tooth picker on the bathroom floor. The worst part however was the restaurant, all though the hotel on its homepage offers both a la carte and buffet dinning only buffet was available, which I find unsafe in these Corona times. The food on the buffet was terrible, I think it was the worst meal in my entire life. The meat was extremely overcooked and dry, the pasta was hard after being heated on for a long time, the potatoes was like cardboard etc. Furthermore, we both got sick during the night from eating in the restaurant, rather scarring how can they keep Corona out of the buffet when they cant keep bacteria out of it. Need I say that we skipped breakfast the next day.

  every thinkings was perfect

  Very clean and very kind staff, definitely we will stay again, Highly recommend this hotel , The breakfast was excellent, the staff kind and very polite, will definitely be my only choice on future trips to this hotel

  Service disappointing

  We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago, but it was rather a disappointment this time. Last time we visited, the hotel was already old. We would have expected a renovation, but nothing of the sorts. We arrived at about 18h30, and room was still not available. We were offered a free drink, which was nice. After about an hour, we went to our room, and it only had 3 beds. We were company of 4. Back to the reception, we were given a new room. Room was basic, bit beaten down, but clean. Only one chair to sit. After going to sleep the fire alarm went off middle of the night. After realising what was happening, we joined other hotel guests to the nearest emergency exit. We stood at the back of the hotel for at least 20 minutes with about 50 other hotel guests. At the back of the hotel there was a forest, we walked to the left and to the right, but there was no clear evacuation route. All the time the alarm was still going off. We didn't see any member of the staff! After the alarm stopped, guests went back to their room. We went to have a look at the front of the hotel, fire department was leaving the premises. Still nobody came to inform us. Also in the morning when we enquired about what happened, staff was very unfriendly, some didn't even know what happened. Even if you don't want to explain 50 times (which is your job), they could have put up some information boards or something, and at least apologise. We only got a 'because of the gas'. The hotel might not be able to help what happened, and alarm going off. But they should have taken care of their guests, and at least keep them informed and maybe apologise ?

  Horrible service!

  Horrible service, for us never again! Purchased an upgrade to a Deluxe room while booking. We indicated in advance that we are coming with a small baby, so a quiet room would be highly appreciated. Upon arrival we got a room at the entrance that could only be reached via a huge detour and was anything but quiet. In the room, it was literally a sauna due to the temperature outside. Climate box did not work, calling with a telephone was not possible either, because it was broken. Air conditioning did not work, but the next day we would get another room and had to sleep the night in a sauna with a mini fan. What a miserable night that was! After a shower, which resulted in a bathroom that was completely flooded, in the morning, we went to the reception to change rooms. What appears to be the entire hotel had a broken air conditioning. It gets even better, after our stay it is said that the hotel has no air conditioning at all .. Why charge for something that is not worth it at all ?! Thats just robbery! Refunds upon check out, were not possible because we had booked through an agency. We are still waiting for a refund, as they agree our point is valid but their action is nowhere to be found. The service during the after-stay continued to be absent, so we do not recommend this hotel whatsoever. Last thing, in Corona time, breakfast is arranged extremely unsafe and in terms of quality not what you can expect from van der Valk. Again what a disappointment, don't go here!
