Not Service Dog FriendlyGentleman at front counter was rude at check-in. He had assigned myself and my guest to a room and almost came unhinged when I informed him that I had a Service Animal with me. I asked for a room on the first floor and was told that none were available, even though there obviously were several. We were relegated to a "pet room" although I am not sure what the difference is and were informed that my Service Dog could not accompany me into the Lobby during meals, but according to their sign "Your are not allowed to leave pets in rooms or vehicles unaccompanied" so what do you do with them when you go have their continential breakfast? Anyway... Standard, cheap motel. Should be $49/nt. The night clerk needs to be educated on Service Dog rights and laws and after way to many hours on the road I was not going to do that because it would not have ended well.

DISCRIMINATORY SERVICE - LIES ABOUT AVAIL ROOMS BECAUSE OF SERVICE DOGChecked in and was immediately told the service dog could not come to breakfast with my travel companion. Offered to educate re: Federal laws allowing access for the service dog to work in the same areas that all public persons frequent. The denial of access for a medical alert animal constitutes medical endangerment to serperate the handler from their dog. The dog is specially trainer to alert the handler to a specific medical condition that can place client in a medically fragile state. So much for continental breakfast because now forced to see breakfast meal elsewhere. Asked for a bottom floor room, and was told there were NO - not one room available on the first floor. When it was stated that there were 6 autos in an 54 room establishment certainly left room to question the validity of his statement to which he became incensed. We were placed on middle of second floor up stairwar with no elevator access and no offer of assistance in carrying bags. Physically challenging for the handler and physicallyt challengeing for a heart patient. Feel the remark about how would we know what was available was retalitory actions based on bringing a service dog stating we had to notify in advance. No where on the site does it say advanced notification required. It does state clearly on the web site that this is a pet friendly site. Yet, in the lobby it state if dog stays without notice to them and additional $150 fee will be assessed against the purchaser. Sadly, this gentleman was not willing to even hear about Federal Department of Justice ADA Law. Explained the dog under the law was allowed anywhere the general public was permitted. His response was to restate NO dog in the dining area. He acted as if he did not understand the explanation. He was adament the dog wouild be denied access. Will attempt to take dog to dining area tomorrow to get breakfast. The handler needs to eat and it is rediculous one has to travel away from their continental breakfast (the primary reason we selected the motel). ' The bathroom was inadequately cleaned and stocked.

1st time visitWe stayed here with our 2 dogs on our way to and from Oregon. We had the same room twice and both times, the room was clean and accommodating. The mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. We had a first floor corner room with parking directly in front of our room and yet it was very quiet. No noise or heavy foot traffic.Only problem I had was with the bath mat for the tub. Dirty on the underside of it, but was cleaned/replaced by the time we returned a week later. Would stay again next year.

Very Professional and ComfortableWe came Sunday afternoon from Susanville, California, Checked in at roughly 3:00 PM, the front desk clerk was very good with us and provided awesome service. The room was clean and well put together. It was also very easy to find with the I-5 right next door, and California 113 going to the motel. Breakfast was very good the next morning and check out was a snap. If we find ourselves going back to Woodland we will stay there again. Thank you so much Valley Oaks, Mac and Wife from Susanville.

Half price gem!We were looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price. We were headed to the Best Western when we passed this place. We checked the price and found it was less than half the price with decent reviews. We went for it. When we entered the room we were so pleasantly surprised! While an older motel, it had been completely redone with hardwood type flooring, comfortable king bed, new sofa/ hideabed, in room coffee, refrigerator and microwave. It smelled fresh and was clean. It had a small and adequate bathroom. The small outdoor pool appeared very clean. Breakfast is continental with oatmeal and other cereal, cellophane wrapped danish, waffle maker, coffee, juice, milk, etc. We were delighted to have a nice place and save $75!
