  The Amazing Sattal Forest Resort is back to being the best

  This is an awesome place. Probably one of the best as per location in Kumaon and being so close to the foothills. It relaxes your soul from deep inside in every possible way - the view of the lake, the greenery all around, the chirping of the birds, the smell of the Pine trees, the sunlight and well-ventialted rooms with balconies or terrace where you feel like having a sip of tea at any time. You would love to meditate, perform yoga or just sit down and soak in the atmosphere. Monsoon/ Post monsoon period just adds to everything. Till June, the resort was leased out to V Resorts who simply did not care for it at all. The resort had deteriorated a lot but thanks to the original owner Usha ji, she took it back in her hands since July and a lot of renovation/ cleaning work has been done. This was probably my 8th stay at the place, the last one being more than 3 years back when I was a bit disappointed with the upkeep of the resort. However, this place has never disappointed me and it's getting better now. If you want a feast for your eyes and rejuvenate your soul, go here without a second thought. Stay for at least 3 to 4 nights for a proper relaxing holiday. Travel Time from Delhi - 7 hours non-stop; 8 hours with a food break. Travel Time from Kathgodam - 30 mins only

  Very nice and homely place!

  Resort is located very close to the Sattal lake and has an amazing view of the hills and the lake. It is away from the madding crowd but close enough to enjoy the cute cafes in the town. The food is homely and delicious with a wide variety of cuisines. The hosts are extremely hospitable and staff is very congenial. Highly recommend staying here for atleast 2-3 days!

  Surrounded by peace and homeliness

  The Sattal Forest Resort is a fantastic property nestled in the Kumaon hills where you will be surrounded by spectacular views, bird calls, and warmth and homeliness. The food at every meal is wholesome, delicious and hearty. The owners, who live there and mange the property, take care of you and feed you like you're truly a guest in their home. The resort offers birding & trekking and there are several games (pool, carrom, chess) and sporting activities (badminton and even croquet) on offer. The place is serene and calm, and gives you a wonderful opportunity to reflect, read, write, and be one with nature. Highly, highly recommended.

  Wonderful experience "As always"

  Visited with my family in the month of September (2020) , delicious food, well maintained rooms, amazing scenery ,mountain's and lake's awesome view from rooms too... ...overall a Beautiful experience !!

  Beautiful Place with Good People...

  Visited this Place in the Post Covid times with family. The place has eye locking view of Uttarakhand Mountains and Sattal Lake. Hosted with good gesture and love. Taken care of everything including my 2 years old kiddos meal. People working for this place are really very humble and polite. Even though the breakfast buffet was available, everything was served in the room on our request. Food was good though there is a scope of improvement.
