  Chill-out

  Spend an extended weekend here, with walks on the beach, swimming & extensive use of the spa - highly recommended..! Staff is very service minded, we got a great room with a nice view, great breakfast although a bit crowded, good location with restaurants just around the corner

  fantastisk stay on a beauty-full hotel

  if you need a really relaxing time with you're partner and don't think about anything else, this hotel is spot on. the rooms are very modern and cleen and the service on the hotel are 1'st class. - i have the feeling to say outstanding - parking is good, it is under the hotel - it is a peacefully place and located directly by the beach - The Hotel are very cozy and you feel that you are very welcomming, there wellness area are with a good quality and with a beautyfull swimmingpool. The retaurants on the hotel serves very good food in the morning and i think especially in the evening - it's tasty and with a big variation. "on this stay we payed for half board" I know that it is not in my place to write this, but then again i have to say this... when i read about some of the bad experience on this hotel, i simple do not understand, because we was only met by a poffesionel staff who want's to assure that we were getting the very best stay and should not think of anything else. and we did. - my wife and i are very ups and strict that we are getting volume for the money and we are getting the comfort that we are paying for and again we did.

  overrated and overpriced

  stayed here for couple of nights with the family and i don't understand the reviews. firstly this is a german hotel so don't expect much customer centric behaviour. this starts at reception, continues to the restaurants and spa. everyone is kind of stressed and annoyed. you always feel like you are disturbing everyone. the rooms are small and the price for them way too high. the rooms DON'T have AC! the breakfast is pretty good i would say but it is crowded, tight and way too hot. the lobby feels like a train station. not a place you like to stay and read a book or so.

  Pleasant stay in a seaside resort, good food, great breakfast buffet

  The Upstalsboom Hotel in Kuehlungsborn is nicely located, very close to the beach of the Baltic Sea, in Northern Germany. Kuehlungsborn is about 2 1/2 hours distant from Hamburg (West), or Berlin (East). Kuehlungsborn is a very clean, well organized town with pedestrian shopping streets. Not many people speak English well, maybe the basic, but they are always courteous and helpful.

  Baltic Beauty

  We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful hotel on the recommendation of my daughter in law, who was born there, as it used to be a hospital. Nothing at all would lead you to suspect it's former life, with luxuriously appointed rooms and facilities, perfectly situated across the road from parklands and the beach. It's just a short walk from the main shopping strip, if you're seeking retail therapy and surrounded by restaurant choices. We chose to dine in house on the terrace and found the experience delightful, good food and attentive service, in a garden setting. The included breakfast was had in the same location and we were spoiled for choice with the offerings. We stayed in July, so peak season and there's no denying it was very expensive but I don't regret my choice and would recommend it highly as a destination for that special occasion.
