  We would stay again

  Booking was easy, plenty of instructions provided, apartment ideal. It was very clean and had everything needed for a short or longer stay. Wished we had booked for longer. As mentioned by others, the bedroom was well appointed with a very comfortable & large bed, handy bedside cabinets, good wardrobe space in the room with a small safe & chairs to sit on. Lounge, kitchen, diner in one large airy room - perfect for our needs. Local buses (2 routes) close to the apartment which run regularly & we chose not to hire a car as the buses covered the island & no where is too far to travel to.

  Amazing trip to Jersey !

  My husband and I visited Jersey for the first time last week. We were not disappointed, what a lovely place! We stayed at the Uplands Apartments as wanted the freedom of self catering. The apartments are spotlessly clean, we had towel change twice and linen once in the week. The Housekeeper was very friendly and was cleaning every day ! We were left a bottle of wine as we were travelling for my husbands 60th Birthday, there was also water, milk, tea coffee etc. We would not hesitate to return here, the only thing is, the apartments are at the top of a hill on St Johns road, we walked every day but a bus stopped just outside.Well worth having a look at if you are thinking of visiting Jersey !

  Cheap hop across the channel

  Accommodation on a budget, functional but no frills. Facilities good, building a little tired and the pull down bed in the lounge was rock hard. Water pressure not brilliant but you are at a high point on the island. Close to the town and pretty much 20 minutes from every other part of the island. Happy with what we paid for and reasonable cost for 4 days in mid August. Good parking on site and shops within a 2 minute walk.

  Simple and sufficient, lovely.

  We stayed twice here over 2019 and on both occasions we were extremely happy with our stays. As there are five of us in our party, its difficult to find accommodation that will cater for us without having to pay for two rooms, which can get very expensive. Uplands solves that problem for us and at significantly cheaper rates than say Les Ormes. We booked the larger accommodation both times with 3 single beds upstairs and a pull down bed in the living room downstairs. Due to our personal sleeping arrangements, we even found room for a blow up ready bed for our little one in the bedroom, meaning I could spread out on the double bed downstairs by myself. Whoop. The units could do with a bit of maintenance however were spotlessly clean and the female member of staff we spoke to was lovely and helpful. We made use of the buses in Jersey and there are two different routes nearby, one right outside the apartment and the other near the Morrisons local supermarket 2mins walk away. The bus outside was approximately every hour in the morning although be aware the timetable is slightly different over the weekends with buses on a Sunday being much more limited. Only a fool would wait for over 30mins for a bus to turn up that isnt scheduled, cough, cough. If you do happen to want to walk, cause a bus aint coming, its all downhill into town on nice and quite roads. We made use of The Monterey Hotel and were made to feel welcome there, after using there facilities we would walk to the Fire Station via millennium park and catch a bus up the hill back to Uplands. Millennium park is a great stop off point for young kids. The WiFi was good, constant hot water, small freezer compartment in the fridge ideal for those lovely Jersey ice cream tubs sold in Morrisons, other supermarkets are available. All in all would certainly use this accommodation again and will be doing as we have booked again for almost 2 weeks next summer. Cant wait for another adventure in the Great Island of Jersey.

  Well serviced apartment

  The apartment was well serviced, clean with a spacious bedroom. It was set up for three people with spare bed in the sitting room/dining area and kitchenette. The cooker was clean and the manuals were there. The only negative was the laundry facilities. I can understand that the washing machines and driers were housed in a separate building maybe not enough room with the current apartment layout. But the worst bit was that you were required to walk or drive (if you had hired a car) about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile to the Norfolk hotel to pay for a token to operate driers and washing machines. This wasn't too disastrous for us but for a family with young children it would have made life difficult on probably a much deserved holiday. By all means don't supply washing powder but please make the laundry facilities more available - maybe put in a token dispensing machine if you really expect people to pay. Overall, Jersey is a fantastic place to visit.
