  Aimed at families

  The hotel was in a great location, an easy walk from the main touristy walking street. As Lukang is a small town, everything is within easy walking distance from the hotel. Our room was beautiful, spacious and had a nice view of the skyline from the 7th floor. There was a huge couch and a mini bar with free drinks and snacks. Another nice touch was the free box of local made cookies. The only problem we faced with the room was when the bathroom floor got wet, the water didnt drain down the hole in the floor, instead it ran to the bedroom carpet area. Overall, the hotel seems aimed at families, as most of the other guests had small children. The lobby had a selection of childrens games that were available for use, free of charge. The hotel staff were courteous, although as an English speaking guest who made the booking, the staff would not speak to me in English even though they could, instead they talked with my partner in Mandarin. The included breakfast could definitely be improved with a greater selection and some more healthy choices.

  Small excellent hotel in the center of Lugang

  On our tour of Taiwan we spent one night in this charming, off-the-beaten-path village, Lukang (Lugang). We spent the night in Union house hotel. Due to GPS problems inside the village we had some problems finding it but it is right in the center of town. We had a receptionist come with us in the car to show us the parking as the private parking is one block away. The hotel is part of a chain small luxury hotels of the world'', in the center of the town and close to most of the town's attractions. Our room was specious and with a huge bathroom with a great view of the temple from the bathtub. The only thing missing was a wardrobe. There were only 2 hangers and one small drawer in the room but everything was very clean, comfortable, nice and functional with USB charger for mobiles next to the bed. As this village has few foreign visitors and ALL signs in the hotel were in Taiwanese, nothing in English! The reception staff had limited knowledge of English as well. Breakfast was mostly Asian but a little odd. There were fried eggs and scrambled eggs but cold but slices of (processed) ham soaked in hot water. The juice was hidden away under the coffee machine and no glasses for juice so you drink it out of a coffee mug. All in all we were happy to stay here but they might need some help to change a few things if they want more tourists. Recommended.

  Clean, modern, upscale boutique hotel

  This is a clean, modern, upscale boutique hotel located in central Lukang. A perfect base from which to explore the city. There are plenty of interesting streets filled with local shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the main market area is only a few blocks away. There are even bicycles available for guests if you are brave enough to dodge the mopeds and traffic. Great breakfast buffet, helpful courteous staff. Highly recommended.

  bad booking experience

  2/16 booked the hotel for 2/21. 2/17 received message from hotel that they cannot accept customer transfer in HK after 1/15. It already been a month. Cannot understand why hotel has such strict rule. Also, there is no warning in the booking page. Disappointed. 2/16 2/21 2/17 1/15

  Pleasantly surprised with this hotel's overall experience during my stay l in Lukang

  I am a local Taiwanese but now live in Singapore. In the past,I never tried to stay overnight in Lukang for its lacking of good international standard hotel. This trip I joined a local tour company to re-visit Lukang and was introduced by this tour company (Settour) to this 3-years old hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this hotel. Especially its counter service staff, who are very sincere and willing to go all the way to help their clients when in need.
