Relief for weary travelersThis hotel is absolutely fabulous! I was traveling on business and stayed here for 3 nights. Because of my busy schedule, I was only able to enjoy the breakfast buffet at Seeds two mornings. The offerings were vast and delicious. I tried traditional Japanese breakfast items, and enjoyed every bit! I enjoyed the onsen twice once at night and once in the morning. It was relaxing, tranquil, and had all the necessary toiletries and amenities. The staff at the front desk were friendly and courteous, and spoke great English. I hope to stay there again in the future.

Comfortable luxuryThis is a large modern ryokan onsen hotel which means if you are looking for a personalised intimate ryokan experience, you won't find it here. Nevertheless it has all the right bells and whistles for a comfortable stay in the style of a Japanese ryokan - just upsized! Everything is larger - the tatami rooms that housed our family of 7, the large tiered outdoor baths, the dining hall that felt more like a huge cafeteria. No kaiseki style meals but a generous buffet (or viking as they call it) that includes a free flow of drinks - including alcohol! The food was good and the variety was wide. Nice public areas that include facilities for table-tennis and even a small rock climbing corner for children. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from the Kurobe-Unazukionsen shinkansen station, convenient for guests. From the hotel, it is only a 5min walk to the train station that would lead you deep into the beautiful Kurobe gorge. Great views from all rooms - including the onsen baths, the lobby etc. Guests see the hills and the river as well as the iconic red bridges of Unazuki Onsen. It's a nice splurge for us in the middle of our trip but one that we enjoyed greatly. The only downside if at all, is spotty wifi reception in the rooms with the best signals only in the public spaces.

Exceeded expectationsA newly refurbished onsen hotel with extremely friendly staff. The furnishings had a taste. The room was extremely spacious as against the usual size in Japanese standards. It was well fitted and everything was clean and hygienic. Quiet comfy room even next to the elevator did ensure some sweet dreams. The toilet seat was fully automatic. Amazing. There were private hot spring bath available for rent at a cost. Good for couple to enjoy some privacy. The room charge included breakfast with many fresh food choices. Delicious and healthy. All in all it exceeded expectations.

Renovated hotelRenovated and name-changed hotel in Unazuki area. Refreshed for more casual type of guests. Staff doesn't seem to be experienced, with some who can't communicate well in Japanese. It advertises widely that hot-spring is open for any walk-in, but there are cases they don't open up for any walk-ins, without any notification anywhere.
