    Relaxing vacation...

    This is the ideal hotel for because the location is away from crowd and noise. Its relaxing suited for me and my family being a senior citizen already. I stay at room 1008 for 5 days. Traveling to downtown area is not a problem for my family as i can arrange transpo at the counter.

    RUN WHILE YOU CAN

    Let me start off by saying, the staff - well some of them - are absolutely the only good thing about this hotel. They were truly the only reason I continued with my stay in this awful hotel. Thank you to the breakfast crew, and Juli for being exceptionally respectful. There were a handful of others but I cannot remember their names. Umalas definitely got me with the pictures online, the hotel seemed quite nice for the price and the location to the airport. However, the pictures are not an accurate description of the hotel. This place is extremely dirty. The night I arrived, we booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment suit and this is essential for later, the AC in the master room was not working. It, in fact, was blowing hot air. Alongside that, the shower in the second bathroom would not drain in a timely manner. The shower was also visibly dirty. The linen was soiled very badly. Before we had even gotten into the bed, we noticed yellow stains on the "white" sheets. The towels in both bathrooms were stained with brown spots as if they had not been washed properly. Okay fine, it was the first night we were so tired and called the front desk and shared our concerns. They advised us that the room had been check, not one but TWO, times prior to us checking in. That had to have been a lie. I shared the issues we had with the room and the, very nice I will add, the receptionist said he would call maintenance and housekeeping. The maintenance guy was very kind, unfortunately, he could not get the shower to drain nor the AC to work. He did bring us a fan and said in the morning he would get back to working on the shower. The linen was replaced, but get this.. the "new" and "fresh" set was more soiled than before. The next morning we went downstairs and spoke with another receptionist and she apologized 100 times. She was so polite. She even offered to call the manager in early. I denied saying that if she could fix the room situation we would be okay. She assured me she would be upgrading me to a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment which was bigger and more "luxurious" than what we had originally booked. Keep in mind this was their "supposed" way of "fixing" what they had already messed up. We left, adventured through the day and returned that evening around 8 pm (20:00). We got the new keys and went to the new room. It looked nicer until we wet into the bedrooms and the bathrooms. Same problem, the soiled linen, and unclean showers. The AC, however, was working. Now, this was probably the most insulting part, the 3rd bedroom was locked. They locked us out of the bedroom and insisted it was because all we had paid for was 2 bedrooms. This is true, but the only reason we had to change rooms was because of half-assed cleaning on their part. They absolutely refused to unlock the door and even had an attitude. I was so upset. I ended up calling the front desk and letting them know this was extremely unprofessional, sub-par and when I mentioned writing a review they quickly decided to unlock the 3rd bedroom. I have never been so disrespected at a hotel before. I wouldn't return nor recommend this place. The hotel is extremely dirty and it's honestly no worth it considering there are nice 3 or 4, even 5-star hotels for similar prices and in good areas of Bali. Save your time and don't stay in this hotel.

    Best hotel

    Hotel location is very good and is quickly accessible from all major places. The hotels allows 24-hours check-in service just inform them prior. Staff is very good and prompt. Breakfast variety is good.

    Unpredictable good

    First, I booked this bad review hotel, The Salak Hotel. I didn't know why I doubt the review. We arrive almost midnight, we rode bicycle. The receptionist said they moved our booking to Umalas Hotel. Dank!!!!! we were upset n confused. But, they provided us a driver and car to deliver us and our bikes of course to the Umalas. Super duper helpful. 15 minutes by car we arrivef at Umalas at 12.30 am. The receptionist in both hotels are kind and friendly. As long as I check food around in Grab and Gojek app, the hotel is nearby everything. Check in and we put Rp 200,000 for deposit. Taraaaa. They replaced my twin standard room with president? suite? room. It has kitchen, dining set, living room (sofa+TV), 2 bedrooms (but only one open) and 1 bathroom. It's not super duper clean room, but it's clean. Too bad the air con didn't work well, we almost slept in sweat during our stayed. Why didn't we tell them? I don't know. Maybe we just don't care. or we forget? I don't know hahahaha. Super fit with two of us and two road bikes. This Umalas Hotel does concern about the environment. They wont wash the towel if we hang it, they will if we put it on the floor, didn't change the sheets if we not ask them to. And it's totally fine with me. But, they will charge us Rp 50,000 for borrow hairdryer. So forget it, wind will help. I didn't take photo but video, I hope it can shows you the room.

    Needs Some TLC

    We were very disappointed with the state of this place. It could look great but It looks like its had no attention since it was built and I dont feel the pictures are a true reflection of the place. The internet is very poor it any in the room and the bathrooms are absolutely awful and I question the cleanliness. Also pretty far from the centre.
