  A really cool and spacious flat!

  This studio is what you need if you intend to stay in Amsterdam for a few days. The spacious apartment with its cool interior is very cozy. Plus the distance to all the spots you need to visit are so near. Miro who is the owner is also very helpful. I will recommend and definitely go back.

  Excellent location, great price, clean rooms and great guest

  I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife. The apartment is basic, however it is very clean and in a great central location. If you are looking for somewhere central at a good price and clean then look no further. The host was excellent and very helpful. So glad we stayed here and saved over £200 compared to similar properties. The WIFI works but could have been a little better.

  Right in the thick of it

  This is a great place as mentioned by other reviewers very close to Dam Square and other main Amsterdam attractions. Plenty of coffee shops around the corner. Stairs are a bit steep, but I didn't think they were really bad and I'm a big guy that just had meniscus surgery. ;) It's more of a studio apartment. The only big negative that I could see is that the shower was built into the bathroom and didn't have a shower curtain. But the floor dries quick with squeegee

  Pay the extra elsewhere!

  I visited Amsterdam and the UltraViolet studios in May of this year for 3 nights. I have stayed elsewhere on previous trips to Amsterdam but none ever as bad as this I must admit. Check In was available from 2pm but in reality it was available earlier. That was the least of my worries though as we were allowed leave our luggage in a changing room in the Mens Clothing Store below the apartment. When we arrived back to check in we were asked what time check out we required on the Monday. I stated "late as possible" as we flew at 5pm but was abruptly told by the owner that I had to be at his desk at 11am Monday morning... My point here? Why ask then!!!! In the end, we rushed about Monday morning getting packed and tidying the room to be notified at 10.55am that we could stay as late as we wanted. As nice a consolation this may have been, it was too little too late for Miro and his over priced hostel room advertised as an apartment. The room itself was small and basic. The beds were fine and that was about as good as it got. No table and chairs. No cups or plates to prepare food. One fork... Will I continue? The apartment hadn't been cleaned prior to check in. The bin had no bin bags... The list goes on unfortunately. The shower room/toilet was badly laid out. Both myself and friend were put off by showering as the drain was somewhat blocked and it took an age for water to dissappear. So you had to paddle in pool of your own sweat and hair... Not pleasant. The only real plus about this place was the location and amenities right on our door step. Other than that it was just a jumped up private hostel room and a poor one at that. Cheap at the price we may have gotten it but not worth all the hassle that came with it. Miro himself was an OK guy but I'd be embarrassed if these were my apartments. The list of issues I had with UltraViolet is not exhausting but I don't feel much would have been done even if I had of approached Miro. So at least I get to warn or prepare others via TripAdvisor!   Good location, ok room

  Great location, right in heart of city. Milo (the owner) is friendly and printed train tickets for us. However, bathroom and shower were very dirty. Wifi is poor, works only in one corner of the room.
