  a few frustrations

  First impressions of the hotel were good /excellent. The new pool and wellness area is exceptional. A few significant frustrations 10 euro if you want to use the safe in your roo, 2.30 Euro for hotwater for my cold medication and a 10 Euro deposit per bathrobe which nearly didnt get returned. The menu options were not always our taste, the meat often tough and some of the flavours simply overpowering. This has never happened before in Austria. Service however was generally excellent although one night - a sothers have mentioned the service was simply too fast. We we were woken two or three times a night by people returning from the bar. The sauna area is also interesting a bio sauna operating at 50 C, and then a very dry sauna at 90C -something closer to 80 would have been nice. The indoor pool is very nice. The key question is would we return - and i am not sure the answer is yes but we would consider this hotel

  Yet another brilliant ski holiday in this excellent hotel

  We have stayed in the Hotel Tyrol many times for our annual ski holiday. The location, facilities, rooms, food and of course staff are all brilliant. This year our entire experience was enhanced by the new indoor swimming pool which is superb. The cleanliness of all parts of the hotel is spotless. We even managed to request s specific room in advance. Can't wait for our next stay.

  EXCELLENT

  Everything about this hotel was perfect from start to finish. From the minute we arrived to when we left at the end of a great holiday the staff were always welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean with a great view over the slopes. Every meal, the food was delicious and well presented. Our compliments to all the staff. Will definitely return one day soon.

  Fantastic family ski holiday

  Friendly and welcoming hotel! All staff were fantastic and really made our holiday. The rooms are a good size, comfortable beds and nice fluffy pillows. The food was exceptional with plenty of choice every evening including vegetarian. Special thanks to our waiting staff; Vanessa, Julia, Johnny, Adam and all the others. The new pool and wellness area was a surprise bonus! Immaculate, tasteful and a lovely place to relax after skiing all day. It is only a 3 minute walk into the pretty town centre, 10 minute walk to the gondola or the ski bus is just outside with regular buses to the slopes. Would love to visit again in summer to make use of the outdoor pool, fantastic views and biking / walking nearby. Once again, thank you to all staff. The hotel really made our holiday!

  Great Ski Holiday - Excellent accommodation at Hotel Tyrol

  Great holiday, in Soll - will revisit. RESORT - picturesque, felt safe, with variety of good restaurants and bars for eating out and apres ski. Live music in bars most evenings. Crystal Reps - available if needed, being friendly, informative and helpful. ACCOMMODATION - Hotel Tyrol (stayed in main building) - Excellent hotel with great facilities in good location - only 3 minutes walk from town centre/main street; 20 minutes walk from main gondola base station. Clean, warm, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. We had double aspect room & balcony with great view. Daily towel change, cuisine very good: evening dinner - usually consists of salad & soup from buffet, served starter and choice of main and desert; buffet breakfast - good choice and ample. Very impressive large Swimming pool & health/sauna suites. Also large fitness room (not used). Owner and all staff friendly and helpful - special mention to: lady on reception - always smiling, very helpful and informative; Cleaners friendly and very good - rooms left spotless daily; also in dining room thanks to Julia (happy/fun) & Johnny, who took care extra care for us regarding a food allergy. Things to be bear in mind bath was quite high, so not suitable for person with mobility issues as needed to step into, to use the shower. No tea & coffee making facilities in room although appears to be norm in Austria. Only slight negative - exception to other staff, was the mature lady behind bar in evenings - first evening generally gruff manner, on second evening very rude! SKIING - was excellent, easy access to lifts - free ski buses & only 15 minute walk to main gondola base station. No queuing for lifts. Recommend spending Eur 10 per person for ski depot garage underneath the ski hire shop, nearest the main gondola station (unless can ski back to accommodation)plenty of blue & red runs for beginners and intermediates, over which is why we chose Soll. Good skiing area with variety of runs SKI SCHOOL - tuition was very good with my family experiencing 5 different instructors - all very good, spoke excellent English (many are English). Special mention must go to Soll Ski School Instructor Phillip Saville - simply the best, professional, clear instruction/tips, encouraging and motivating all in group to improve, great personality and fun too, who took us on variety of slopes and tours of area. . Similarly thanks to Ski Instructor Yursten. OVERALL - I would recommend Soll, Hotel Tyrol and the Soll Ski School.
