  Great food at the reataurant

  The hotel seemed modern. The room was small and clean, and the bathroom was smelly. At the time we didnt know that we had booked at the same time there was a wedding. Not to recommend if you want a quiet time. The breakfast was great, Continental and American-style breakfast choices. The service at the restaurant was great. We were served by a very young man who was friendly and gave great service. I had a open chicken sandwich, and it was the best I have ever tasted. Definitely recommend the restaurant at the hotel. Totally worth it.

  Couldnt be better!

  Me and my fiancé had our engagement party at this hotel, and it seriously couldnt have been the better! All the staff members were so nice and cooperated with me. They did everything exactly as I wanted them to! The food was excellent, the service was top notch and I couldnt have been happier with the outcome of the night!

  Great place for our Christmas party

  We absolutely recommend Tyrifjord Hotel, we had our Christmas dinner/party here with our work last weekend. The Christmas buffet was very good, and the after party was both fun and cozy. All staff was very friendly and helpful. The new renovated rooms were very nice and we all slept very well after a great night. We didn't have time to explore the surroundings but the view over the fjord and the mountain was beautiful. Great value for the money!

  Unwelcome and pricy stay

  Over priced dinner where my medium rare moose steak was cooked through, noisy down stairs (where we had booked family rooms), and sat through dinner with cleaning and setting tables around us. Breakfast included cheap carton juices, waiting for more bacon, empty juice jugs and waiting for glasses. We were also surprised when we had booked family rooms including children aged 3 and 0, to find there is no elevator. We Wish they had informed us about this before showing up with 2 kids with strollers. All in all an expensive lesson learned.

  Last night in Norway

  Upon checkin, we were told we had been upgraded to one of the new rooms. Excellent room, comfortable & beautiful. Excellent breakfast buffet options. When checking in, i specifically asked for a room with "good wifi". While the room was both beautiful and comfortable, it was also the "king of the corner" - on the end & at the end of the building. The wifi was the most distressing of the five plus hotels in the past week in Norway. It worked best at checkout. Luckily, the end of the trip to Norway was not wifi dependent.
