  Vile place would not recommend,horrible management and after speaking with locals this place has a terrible reputation for treating their staff with utter disrespect do not recommend staying her or even popping in for a meal

  Disgusting neglect of a once beautiful building

  Booked a superior room for a celebration birthday. The Pen y Fan suite is straight out of a Dickens novel. Dark, drab and miserable. Plaster falling off the wall, dusty drapes, filthy bath. Asked for extra heater as the room was freezing to be told that the heaters are on a timer so not on and no heaters available - it was 2 degrees outside and not much warmer inside! We refused to stay and were back home before 10pm. Was told that I wouldnt be charged but guess what, money for the stay was taken from my card today! Avoid at all costs. The Marquis in Aberdare town is much nicer.

  Santa afternoon tea

  came to this advent with my children and was totally disappointed been coming for the past five years an santa has always been magical & authentic looking , this year even my six year old son pointed out that santas beard had elastic on it an was fake . the snowman again my son could sea his tanned fingers & face !! this has totally taken the magic & belief away I've had a 100 questions from my 6 year old regarding Christmas and santa being real!! not all staff was wearing masks so not complying to the current guidelines which ment we also had to endure of the most unhappy faces which would have been better covered by a mask. not only for safety reason. wedding decorations still left in the hall for a country hotel we have visited for the past 5 years for Christmas this year has totally disappointed us and we will most definitely not be returning & also advising out friends & family to stay away..

  Very disappointed

  We stayed just 1 night! The family room was a good size, the rooms are clean & staff are polite. The bed was the awful, not comfy at all & The hotel needs a make over! Its very very dated and when the heating comes on in the morning it make an annoying sound. I wont be visiting again

  Horrendous no covid rules avoid

  It is places like this that have caused the situation in wales. No respect for social distancing I sat and observed people crammed in. What happened to a 2 metre rule !! I complained but the manager was rude and told me in so many words to mind my own business. The place is tired with basic quick once over decor food was poor and service was ok when you became deaf to the staff complaining about the managers attitude as dictatorship. The manager certainly needs get an education in customer service skills. Never again. AVOID!!
