    Muy buen servicio

Muy buen servicio, atentas y simpaticas. Habitaciones limpias. Ubicacion regular.

It might not be the Ritz but don't be put off

My husband checked us in as he got to the room very early and the hotel owner let him in. I got a text "you are going to hate this place" great the panic sets in aa i had read previous reviews anyway. We had room 2 the family roon with ensuite. It had a double bed and bunk bed. Perfect for 3 of us. Yes its in need of upgrade in terms of decor, yes the furniture is old (the bunk was duck taped together) and yes there is no room to swing a cat but it was spotless and thd beds some of the comfiest we have slept in. Breakfast was ok (my husband thought it was great so perhaps i am being harsh). But i felt the food was cheap ingredients although cooked well. My only concern is the temp of the shower. It is scaldingly hot to point i kept coming out to cool myself before getting all bubbles out of my hair. The temp control was not working. I appreciate these repairs cost money but it needs done. There is no way i would put a child in that shower. The hotel is obviously owned by a family who are trying their best in what is a challenging and competitive industry. I wish them every success. As my review states its not the Ritz it is a clean comfortable hotel in the perfect location to Murrayfield and the zoo. Offering free parking and bus stop right outside with quick links to city centre. Although we walked to city centre (60 minutes with our 5 year old!). Its an ideal spot to put your head down for the night if thats all you want.

    Satisfactory visit

We came here for a couple of days as our first visit to to Edinburgh. The hotel was a bit of a shock to be honest. The decor is extremely dated and in definate need of upgrading. Our room was very small and in need of a lick of paint. However, it was clean and had tea/coffee facilities with biscuits available. I was very disappointed that it was a shared bathroom. Although it was clean on arrival, the following day I entered the bathroom to find someone had used the bath/shower facility and remnants of hair were left making it off putting to use. The water pressure of the taps wasnt very good either on the sink making it difficult to wash etc. The bed was comfortable and clean but unfortunately, the noise from outside (traffic etc) made it very difficult to sleep. Breakfast was okay, although wasnt particularly warm. The only good point to the hotel is that the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

    Bad experience

My wife and myself were there on the Friday to Saturday. The room was to small and building is dated need painted. The shower was held together with sellotape carpets were stained. The building was cold even in the bar,the belhaven best was 5 month out of date .the breakfast was Luke warm and served cold plates .the man on reception/bar duties wore his jacket all the time .couldn't stay more than one night as there is no wardrobe to hang clothes or any where to put a case
