  I have travelled the hotels all over north jersey but the overall experience I would rate is 4.2 The cleanliness is a one if the best The hotel room are specious The hotel rooms are specious Friendly service Thanks we will back next month

  Great location, amazing nights sleep.

  I was a little nervous to stay here because the reviews werent great but the location was perfect for me so I gave it a go. Glad I did because I actually had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were very big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC/heating unit worked perfectly and fast and gave off the perfect amount of white noise. Really really quiet hotel. My one and only complaint is the smoke. The bathroom vent started seeping out someones cigarette smoke and it was horrible. We kept the bathroom door closed with the fan on to help. We told the front desk and they gave us some air freshener but thats about it. I smelled smoke when I walked by the bathroom and of course in the bathroom but not in the main part of the room which would have been the deal breaker. It was gross but manageable. Overall, it was a great stay and Ill definitely be back.

  Outdated facility

  I booked The Avenue Hotel for 3 nights in a non smoking room with a balcony. I could not enjoy the view from my balcony as I would have choked frim cigarette smoke coming from the balcony next door. The drapes were soiled and filled with holes plus I had to change my assined room as the look to the balcony sliding doors malfunctioned. The staff were professional but the hotel facilities sucks.

  DO NOT STAY HERE

  I booked The Avenue Hotel for 7 nights in a nonsmoking room with a balcony. I could not enjoy the view from my balcony as I would have choked from cigarette and Marijuana smoke that was coming from the balcony next door and was in the hallway. Not a good hotel to stay with a family. The drapes were soiled and filled with holes plus I had to change my assigned room as the look to the balcony sliding doors malfunctioned. Hot water constantly running out. No ventilation in bathroom (No window or extractor fan) leaving the bathroom misty after taking a shower and leaving it smelly after using the latrine. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, may as well of slept on the floor. Room was dusty, under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. Bed sheets were filled with dust when we asked the owner if we could have them changed she replied that the housekeeping has been gone for the day. I never seen an owner with so bad customer service. Fridge was dirty and horrible and the bottom of it was rusty. No safety deposit boxes in rooms. Worst hotel I have stayed in. Inspect room carefully at check in and take pictures of everything. I mean everything. Do the same when you check out as you can be billed later for "damages". Take pictures of what is broken or damaged as you will be charged for damages ($250 and above) if you didn't let the front desk know right away. Not impressed! First room they gave me had no TV remote and a/c wasn't working. Second room they gave me had sliding glass doors that didn't lock! Staff was super nice but what else could they be? Stay somewhere else if possible! I could go on but I'm not going to waste any more time. I have honestly never been anywhere and met such rude owner (excluding the front desk). If you are more the adventurous type, care about cleanliness, like to eat out and explore the local area without feeling you're being monitored DO NOT STAY HERE.

  Disgusting. Terrible service.

  I stayed at this hotel for a week, no shower curtain or lock on the bathroom. there was old cups from previous customers, showing that it hadnt been cleaned. The customer service is absolutely terrible. There is one man who was great, but another man was just rude and lied about multiple things. he tried charging extra for things that i wasnt told i had to pay for, and when i asked to speak to a manager he told me i couldnt do that. everyone knows it is hotel policy that if a customer wants to speak to a manager, they can. this man was absolutely horrible and i will be complaining to corporate about his horrible customer service.
