  Time Away

  good. clean, basic but comfortable. It was in a great location, out of the city centre but near where we needed to be. Food centres and hotel close by - too far to walk but a short drive. We visited friends on the east side of the city.

  Avoid if you can

  Some would say that this place needs a complete refurb, but I wouldnt waste the money. Its a dump and should be demolished. Absolutely awful. Very large ants in our room, and I suspect a mouse also. Parking was tight. No reception, just a man in the Phillipines on Skype. All very odd. Give this one a miss if you can. They actually charged more for this room than top class motels in Warrnambool. Avoid, avoid, avoid! I had to give this a one star rating to be able to submit this, but in reality I wouldnt give it anything at all.

  Basic and spacious

  They are making use of virtual reception which I thought was very cool. Room was clean and spacious. There was free wifi. We were able to sleep quite well. Few minutes away from the centre. Quite ok for the price.

  Worst motel experience ever

  Avoid, avoid, avoid. The reception area is hard to find and it's gross inside. You do a weird webcam check-in with someone from overseas which is so off-putting. The room has signs about "NO REFUNDS" etc. Clearly, this has been an issue in the past. It's also one of those places that has signs up everywhere about behavior whilst a guest - always the sign of a dodgy place. I had almost no toilet paper in the bathroom, but got such attitude from the manager/ owner on check-in that I just used my own. The bathroom window has been painted so now it's permanently open - too bad if you get cold I guess. This motel appears to be the cheap option for ocean road-goers and so you get families in the rooms a lot and so there's lots of babies crying, kids running around whilst cars are being packed. Bottom line: don't be cheap, pay a bit more and stay somewhere, anywhere else.

  No doubt - the worst ever

  Had the misfortune of staying here - I would strongly suggest no one else do the same. Filthy - authorities should condemn the place. If someone burnt it down they could hardly be charged with arson - they should be heralded for doing the community a service. Have managed to come across the odd dodgy motel occasionally, but nothing that comes close to this place, there was absolutely ZERO to like about it. Its a hazard in waiting - if you dont pick something up from the filth, you might get lucky & electrocute yourself on a dodgy powerpoint. Seriously do youself a huge favor & AVOID! Oh did I mention the ludicrous nightly rate? I will be taking that up with my bank as i dont believe they have upheld what was offered.
