  My daughter and I stayed here July/August '13, we booked this hotel because it was next to where our friends were staying and their hotel was fully booked. We were cautious about booking becuase of the negative comments (although they were a few years old). However the hotel has been refurbished recently and though the twin room was quite small, it was clean, the furniture new and had a small fridge, shower, hairdryer, tv and wifi. I thought this was very good for a budget hotel. The new management are very helpful and willing to please. We did not stay around the hotel during the day as we were out at the beach etc which is only 10 mins walk. The pool was almost empty most days - plenty of freee sunbeds. The hotel/bar etc was quiet and the hotel is generally occupied by Turkish residents (we are in Turkey after all). We booked this through Last Check and could not believe what a good deal it was.

  Not for Western European holiday makers

  We stayed here after a 7am flight from the UK for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct in two neighbouring ground floor rooms and on arrival mid-afternoon had to ask for towels to be provided in both our rooms.On looking around the rooms we were shocked at the unclean state of the bathroom with it's stained toilet,taps and shower curtains and it's leaking shower tray/head,the amount of dust present on the tv,wardrobe,etc, cigarette ash in the bedside cabinet,scuffed walls,broken mosquito nets on the windows but even worse at the filthy state of the fridges.As the cleaning woman finished early afternoon we had to make do ourselves,not made easier by the almost non-existant level of English understood by the staff,with the exception of one man (Hassan?) who only worked midday onwards and who we barely came into contact with.And here lies the biggest criticism-our rooms were cleaned just twice in our 2 weeks stay which is utterly unacceptable in a climate like this with tiled floors and leaking shower trays/heads. Halfway through our stay the temperature dropped massively at night causing us to have no choice but to use soiled blankets from on top of the dusty wardrobes until clean ones could be provided the next day.Our rooms never got direct sunlight which worsened this problem.The lack of any balcony made the rooms all the more unappealing. The initial other guests were Turkish families who allowed their young children to run amok around the tiled premises up until midnight making it impossible to sleep.Fortunately for our sanity they left after the weekend however the peace was short lived by loud voices late at night from the uninviting,characterless poolside bar and in the echoing corridors.Worse still we were woken on different occasions in the middle of the night by a noise which sounded like a motorbike revving up which when we reported it turned out to be noisy plumbing in the hotel-nightmare! Other guests who came/went appeared to be young Turkish men possibly working in the area-no other Western European holiday-makers until our last few days when a nan and granddaughter came from the UK but cleared off each day due to their disappointment with the hotel. Turkish breakfast was identical each day and though fresh and pleasant (feta cheese,tomatoes, cucumber.olives,boiled egg and fresh bread with a cup of tea/coffee yet juice or at least squash was unheard of!). No other food appeared to be available at the hotel during the day yet a sign in Reception ridiculously exclaimed "Only food and drink from the hotel may be consumed inside" and the so-called Elegant Restaurant clearly hadn't been used in a long while and was used as a storage facility however NO hotel information was made available to us as to any hotel facilities whatsoever.Fortunately the hotel's location is it's main plus point -a short stroll down the road to a pleasant beach behind the Bitez Hahn Beach leading to the buzzing boardwalk where there were shops,bars and many good eating establishments (especially Black Cat,Corner,La Vas,Lemon Tree and Rakinti Restaurants).Carry on to almost the far end for the lively Temple Bar by Manuela Hotel where the best travel agent Kenny has his display boards and will give you personal local advice on the best tours available as well as money exchange rates. This was my 3rd visit to Bitez but a big mistake in my choice of hotel.The Hotel Tumay sits sadly at number 40 of 41 hotels in Bitez on Tripadvisor and will never rise higher unless significant changes take place.Many superior properties can be found in this charming resort which will enhance not spoil your stay.

  Muy buena atencion

  Me senti muy comoda, El sr que me atendio alli me hizo sentir como en casa muy amable incluso me ayudo para manejarme alli con ubicaciones. Lo recomiendo. la habitacion muy limpia. Muy tranquilo.Esta ubicado a 10 minutos del centro.

  A perfect place to stay

  last week We're stayed here for 4 days. absoloutly loved our stay,We felt welcome here. What we loved about the place is the service, and comfort of the room, nice pool area, the hotel is clean, nice interior, the staff member is so welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Good location, beach is around 10 minutes walk from the hotel. One of the staff told us that in january 2017 The hotel management has been replaced by the new management, new owner, and new staff. I think the owner and the management before is so awful, thats why this hotel had bad review on tripadvistor. Anw, the staff, you guys just start it Very well, good job, keep it up. If you want the hotel that have good service and friendly, this hotel is the best answer, you will impress with this hotel and come back again for sure.
