Great hotel, great staff, perfect holidayHad a fantastic 11 nights at this hotel at the end of September, start of October 2020. From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly and every single one went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The view from our side sea-view room was amazing. We had a clear view across the sea to the small island in the bay that we never grew tired of looking at from our balcony. The rooms themselves were clean & quiet, you couldn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms which we have had in previous hotels. The food in the restaurants was great. So, much choice that you couldn't fail to find something you like. It was our friends anniversary whilst we were out there and after a quick conversation with the reception staff, they arranged a lovely decorated table for us and a special cake. We used the spa a couple of times for massages and left feeling totally relaxed. The pools are all really clean with life guards on duty at key times. The hotel also has its own beach area, which has a great view of the island. We made use of the free kayaks to paddle all the way over to the island which was great fun. Overall, we had a perfect time here and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

A hidden bit of paradiseWe have just got back from our first trip to Turkey and are so glad we decided to choose The TUI Magic Life resort at Sarigerme. Initially we started to get stressed by having to sit for around 90 minutes on the coach waiting for passengers who had clearly opted to book their own transfers. Eventually the driver finally made the call to get us under way. Unfortunately this meant that as we had landed around 10pm, we didn't get to the hotel (less than 30 mins away) until after midnight. Upon arriving at the resort however, we were greeted warmly immediately made very welcome and processed very quickly with allowing us to get some much needed sleep. The following morning we requested our bed be converted to a double (as we were a married couple after all,) which was done quickly for us. As the world is fanatical about the Covid virus, we obviously had to wear the obligatory face coverings but these were readily available and everywhere you went, hand sanitizer was on hand everywhere you went. Upon familiarising ourselves with the resort, we were thrilled to see how beautiful it was and how meticulously it was looked after. Any minor maintenance issue could be reported on the resort's App and was dealt with promptly and the large garden areas encompassing the whole grounds were absolutely beautiful and obviously given much loving care by the staff. It was a joy to be there. The staff clearly enjoy their jobs and from the ones we spoke to they are treated well and have a lot of respect for the management who don' seem to look down on their staff and are happy to get their hands dirty and work alongside them which is more than can be said for many other companies and industries. As my wife is gluten intolerant, we asked if it was possible for the staff to help us identify what was safe to eat in the the restaurants and bars however we need no have feared as the chef(s) were more than happy to prepare anything she wanted every meal time. This was a massive help as it was one thing we didn't have to worry about so we could concentrate on enjoying ourselves. It was also very nice to be able to get a drink and/or a snack around the clock. If you woke early to see the sunset, you could grab a drink and just stroll through the gardens to the beach to watch it. the security was there but not at all intrusive, very friendly in fact. The hotel also offers a wide range of activities included with your booking from Yoga to Archery to Water skiing or you could just relax on the four poster beach beds by the beach bar. The rooms are not what you would expect from the high end franchises but are at this price bracket, they are definitely good and comfortable and regularly cleaned well. All in all This is definitely a resort I will return to and would heartily recommend you visit if you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle.

Six weeks in paradiseWe were lucky enough in this COVID summer to enjoy six weeks here and thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it. The resort is set in lush green, beautiful gardens on a stunning part of the coast. Bougainvillea and exotic flowers bloom everywhere. The beach is fine golden sand. There are activities aplenty. The staff are incredibly friendly and cant do enough to help. In short, it was a wonderful way to spend a few weeks in late summer. We have stayed several times at Club Robinson along the beach but, as it didnt open this year, we thought wed try Magic Life instead for a couple of weeks. We liked it so much that we extended our first stay for another week, went home for a week, then decided to come back for another three, until the end of the season. That gave us the opportunity to stay in both a bungalow and in a room in the main building. The bungalows are set up above the main hotel building in the trees, which means that its quiet and you have your own space. Its a lovely walk up a forest path... except for when the sprinklers are on and you have to make a dash for it or get showered! From your balcony, you can see squirrels and birds and get the occasional visit from a friendly cat. While I liked the bungalow, my husband found it a bit rustic. The bathroom lighting could be better and the glass door to the toilet and shower didnt afford much privacy. The room we had in the main building on our second stay was nicely appointed and had a great sea view. The fridge is filled with soft drinks and refilled with water every day. Theres a kettle for coffee and tea. One excellent thing is that masks are supplied and available everywhere. We have sympathy for another reviewer who was disturbed by a smoker in a neighbouring room; we experienced this too. Requests for extra blankets and pillows were met almost instantaneously. The food was very good, much better than wed expected, although we ended up eating a lot of chicken! You dont tend to get luxury foods but there was always a good range of fresh fish, stews, vegetables, salads and bbq meats, all beautifully presented. Theres a station for pasta at lunchtime, where a personalised pasta dish is made in front of you, and this is very popular. The desserts were really good and much too tempting! We tried the specialty restaurant, The Taste, and that was tasty and varied, allowing us to try the flavours from various Magic Life clubs. Coffee from the coffee bar was excellent and the Wunderbar staff are on hand for drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. Part of our morning ritual included going down to the juice bar for freshly pressed orange juice which was a real treat. Activities: there are plenty of activities throughout the day for all ages. We did a ride on the banana boat, kayaked and tried a couple of the exercise classes. You can also waterski if thats something youd like to try. As well as the fitness classes, there is an indoor cardio room and weights room. Early on in our stay we discovered that mountain bike tours were included (rather than charged for like at Robinson) and these tours were a real highlight of our stay. Thanks to Sezgin, our guide, we saw a lot of the beautiful lush countryside on brand new bikes, including Ashi Beach and Dalyan, both stunning spots. Entertainment: theres something on every night: shows featuring the enthusiastic entertainment team, movies, live music, karaoke, etc. Dont miss the Turkish evening (complete with belly dancing) and the Silent Party - so much fun! We didnt really make use of the spa facilities (which did look lovely) but we did use the sauna when the temperatures got a little cooler and I did get a haircut from the on-site hairdresser. I cant say enough about the staff; they were truly magnificent. So friendly, so customer focused - a really great team. From the entertainment team to the waiters and servers to the cleaners, every single one was a joy to engage with. They delighted over the few words of Turkish we learnt while we were there and encouraged us on. And although we didnt have any photos taken, we had some stimulating conversations with Yunus, the on-site photographer who takes first-rate photos. The reception team, and particularly Sümeyye, are terrific. She helped us extend our stay, spending an hour on the phone to do so. A particular word of thanks to the wonderful watersport team, Yilmaz and Ismet in particular. With them, I got my introductory catamaran sailing licence which involves three days of practical instruction and blackboard learning. They are such nice guys and good teachers, building up your confidence and gently pointing out your mistakes in order to help you improve. If you have a licence, you can sail for one hour a day; anything more than that costs 20 or 30 an hour. The resort takes hygiene very seriously, providing masks, antibacterial spray and wrapped cutlery. The place is spotless. For those needing to get Covid tests, a doctor was onsite each morning. Being a cat lover, I loved the fact that there were well-behaved, well looked after cats everywhere to smoodge. Theres a small zoo as well. There was an interesting mix of nationalities staying while we were here. At the start, there were mostly Brits and a smattering of Ukrainians and Russians. Later, there were mostly Germans. But then, it was a particularly unusual year. Apparently in normal years, guests are mostly German and so there are even Oktoberfests held! The weather throughout September and October was outstanding with only two days of rain or storms. This is a special place and one we will definitely be coming back to, inshallah.

Lovely hotel, even during COVIDVery well run and managed hotel in the COVID environment. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all masked up and social distancing. The restaurant was still buffet style, but each cooking/serving station was run by a chef who, from the other side of the Perspex barrier, served what you requested of him/her. Very good choice of food. Pool and grounds well maintained and very pretty. Liked it here but not sure we would visit in peak time as we wouldnt normally go to a family hotel. Thats not a negative, just our preference. Its a good hotel, and we have no negatives,

Amazing time considering the circumstancesThe staff were great hygiene better than we experienced back in the UK last year very helpful staff, we had been trying to get away for our anniversary and finally got to stay here as a last shot at getting away from home in September last year (2020) when we arrived the room was not what we had booked on previous holiday selection but the staff soon made us welcome and we ended up in a large double room in the ground (476) ok a short walk to the main building but the grounds are immaculate and clean so we didnt mind, TUI dont tell you there are a lot of steps to the pool and beach but apart from that minor issue we had one of the best holidays ever, great WiFi on the beach excellent food fantastic staff and even the management cook on one of the special cooking areas. The themed restaurants with fantastic views were also fantastic, our room was stocked with soft drinks and the cleaning was efficient and again very good. The hotel made sure everyone was being safely looked after although it was great to get masks off when outside by the pool. This was our first time to Turkey and the managers should recognise the service their staff gave have made us want to visit Turkey again so thats Magic Life Staff you have done well under these conditions and we look forward to returning when things are as back to normal as they can get
