  Tasty Sunday lunch

  Enjoyed an extremely tasty lunch at the Tudor House today, great Yorkshire puddings, lamb and beef both tender and tasty.. Clean and well spaced environment. Happy to recommend and return for another meal.

  Very comfy old hotel

  Had a lovely overnight stay at the hotel. It is steeped in history and is full of character. The hotel creaks and walls are crooked but it adds to the experience and its not often you can stay in such an old establishment!

  Ridiculous drinks prices

  Just had to write a review, £3.90 for a pint of coke!! If Id known this I wouldnt have had two. Can go down the road and get it for almost half the price. Also advertised buy two large glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle free, but we paid £25 for the bottle!! Just think the prices are extortionate and dont advertise offers if you dont apply them. Wont be rushing back need to be more competitive with pricing .

  Beautiful building!

  The building is full of character with lots of interesting items and things on the walls. We were able to check in on arrival even though we were early. Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean if a little tired but perfectly in keeping with an old building. We had a room overlooking the river and with two windows it was light and airy and contained everything that we needed. We had breakfast and dinner on both nights which was well cooked, nicely presented and good value for money. We liked the bar area which had alcoves and partitions - perfect for the current situation without making you feel isolated. The hotel is in a perfect position for walking around the town and with lots of bars, pubs and restaurants close by. Thanks to the management for allow us to rebook even though our cancellation was non-refundable and the weekend before lockdown was announced.

  Second visit

  This was our second visit to this wonderfully wonky creaky Hotel, not a straight line anywhere, from start to finish the staff were really friendly and helpful We just needed a quick getaway on the spur of the moment and this was the first place we both agreed on The Room was spotless bed extremely comfortable and the hotel itself was immaculate We had a lovely big breakfast We would recommend this place to anyone, loved it
