  muy lindo hotel

  un hotel tranquilo, con muy buenas vistas y detalles de categoria. para descansar y jugar golf, ideal, las tardes para tomar una copa en los jardines, escuchando musica en vivo, y con unas vistas como se acompañan en las fotos.

  Escapism

  We were looking for a 24 hour escape from 2020 reality and a friend recommended we come here. SO happy we did. We splurged and booked the Casita Jet Suite. While they state you can't check in until 4PM, we got there around 3:15 and they had our room ready. The grounds are gorgeous, and you feel away from it all which was exactly what we were looking for. We took a long walk around the property in the evening. It appears they had a few other retail/dining space at one time that has since closed. This place would be amazing for a special event. Our room was outstanding, including the very private patio off the living room area. We loved the spaciousness of it and the sleep quality was solid. We went to the pool for a dip. They have 2 pools and a hot tub. What I loved was the seating available. They had these cabana tents, I believe there were either 3 or 4 on each side. It appears they are first come first served so had we been there more than just one evening I probably would have been out here staking my claim for a day by the pool! Check out was 11AM. The protocols on check in/check out for the pandemic were safe and contactless. While I did see some folks walking around without masks, they were able to maintain social distancing. The restaurant and gift shop both required masks. I would absolutely stay here again.

  accommodations are good two great I have to say the landscapers could throw some landscape rock on top of the irrigation hoses fairly inexpensive fix also the pool area maybe because this is the Covid situation could use some more chairs tables and vegetation I think theyre dropping the ball and an opportunity to maybe have a cocktail waitress or a waitresses can get them food and cocktail by the pool poolside also this time of year the pool temperature could be at 90° morning voting temperature trying to get you some business staff was excellent restaurant good, And the golf was good he should elaborate on the tin cup movie I think they get themselves more business also

  Doesnt follow Covid rules, and rude starter

  At Tubac golf course today, I prepaid for 2 players. I called and told them my wife is high risk and I prepaid in order not to have to go inside the golf shop. There was no reason to, because I already prepaid. The rude starter told me I HAD to go inside the golf shop despite the Covid cases right now being the highest in AZ of any state in the US. I told him my wife is high risk and the golf shop told me I already paid, so there was no reason to go inside the golf shop. I cant risk my wife dying from coronavirus. The starter needs to talk with the people in the golf shop they both are saying different things. The golf shop office says I dont need to go inside the golf shop because I prepaid. The starter forces you to, against your will. Its not right. When I played here a few months ago, during fewer cases of Covid, they didnt force me to go in the golf shop, and I went back today thinking the same rules applied. Now I am rethinking ever coming there again. The golf courses in Tucson and Phoenix have guidelines for wearing a mask in the golf shops, except the much smaller bathrooms on the golf courses dont have mask requirements. Everyone uses those enclosed bathrooms on the courses, multiple people at the same time, and theres no way to stay six feet apart in those small bathrooms, so the mask requirement should be enforced. I have been to every course in Tucson, and nearly all in Phoenix, and not one course has the mask requirement for the on-course small bathrooms. Therefore, no one using those bathrooms wears a mask. This needs to be enforced, and added to the list of Covid requirements for all golf courses. (Or at least require the doors of the small on-course bathrooms to remain open for adequate ventilation).

  average at best -- definitely NOT luxury!

  Hubs and I used this place as our base of operations for touring around southern Arizona. While it's probably the best option that far south, it's definitely not a luxury property and is well past its prime. And, you can't blame COVID for its shortcomings! The place is generally shabby and even the best accommodation (which we stayed in) is rundown -- torn door screen, saggy bed, finish on bathroom fixtures worn-off, plunger left next to the toilet -- presumably clogs are common! Service was also sorely lacking -- from the front desk staff who weren't particularly welcoming or helpful when we checked in...to the lack of bell service to assist with baggage...to the restaurant staff who acted as if we were an inconvenience. It was also appalling that we were charged the full resort fee, though the spa and salon were not open most of our visit, the grounds were unkempt, there was no service at the pool, the restaurant was closed entirely for breakfast and lunch, and closed for dinner all but one day of our stay -- leaving the golf course snack bar as the only onsite option! Fortunately, we happened upon the nearby Tubac Market, which prepares very nice (and well--priced) breakfast items. There are definitely things worth seeing and doing in the area, but instead of staying in Tubac we'd recommend those who want an upscale experience instead stay at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain. It would make for some longer drives between excursions, but it's a true 5-star resort.
