  Never tried Tru before, won't try Tru again ...

  I'm not sure who thought Tru is what a traveler wants on a trip. The lobby is a big, open playroom with a pool table and an odd assortment of desks and chairs. Breakfast was not edible, typical junk food fare. The staff was extremely nice, and the place was spotless. Stupid slogans everywhere (elevators, etc.) - "Hey. You." The build quality of the place was terrible. It's like modern kindergarten sheik. Bright, cold colors and textures. The bed and pillows were very nice. Bathroom ... not so much.

  Nice Place

  Nice Stay. Property in a great location, very new and clean. Plenty of stores and eateries in the area. This property is distinguished by its complementary breakfast, proximity to the airport and modern facilities.

  Clean, Safe Hotel in a Fun, Vibrant Area

  Great area, a lot of food and entertainment options walking distance from the hotel. Hotel was clean and safe, but service from the front desk was meh and sound travels easily through the walls (from my bed in my room I could hear someone snoring in a room next to mine)

  A very clean hotel!

  Everything was very clean. We saw the staff constantly wiping off tables/chairs. The floors were cleaned often. It smelled very fresh and clean. The rooms were super clean. I would stay here again!!!!

  Big Positives, Bigger Negative

  This hotel is likely representative of Hilton itself - one part of the organization strives to add clientele and grow the company, while another part undermines that whole objective. This hotel is new, has definite advantages over competitors, has great value to price, yet my room was almost unbearable to stay in because it reeked of cigarette smoke. And no one seemed to care. So here you have a quality bed, 55 inch TV, brand new everything, very nice complimentary breakfast, and a fun and interesting lobby (for example they have a pool table), all at the best price in town at the time of my stay for this level of hotel, yet I wont stay again due to the stench of cigarette smoke (not just in my room, also in the elevators). This is a fair cross section of Hilton itself as I investigated this hotel to go beyond my annual 50-100 nights/year at Marriotts, only to learn Hiltons match program is a fraud, and no one responds to customer inquiries. Marriott breaks a leg responding to its customers, so how to get the message to Hilton higher ups? And how do you penetrate the notice of the owners of this Hilton Tru hotel? We consumers want competition and responsiveness because we want options. The people who understand that need to get rid of the people working for them who dont.
