Wonderful DiscoveryAfter traveling from Florida back home to Missouri we needed to stop for the night. We found Tru, and I booked a room. We rolled in around 1 a.m., and the staff was kind, plesent and helpful. Loved the modern design! Definitely recommend Tru!!

Paying lip service to sanitationHilton boasts of its sanitizing partnership with Lysol, yet it appears to be mostly lip service. Upon entering the room, you have to break a sticker on the door showing it had been sanitized. But inside the room, cleaning has not taken a top priority. In the shower, both a pink colored bacterium - Serratia marcescens - as well as black mold are visible. These types of microbes form biofilms, which are similar to protective condos. Spraying the shower with a disinfectant does little to kill the organisms. You have to use elbow grease. The hotel also has signs posted throughout that both guests and employees must wear masks. Yet at checkout, the associate behind the Plexiglass barrier at the front desk was not wearing a mask -- at all. Just because she's behind the barrier doesn't mean she is exempt from wearing a face covering (per Arkansas rules). This does not instill confidence that this facility is taking COVID-19 seriously. This is one of the few hotels I've stayed at that DOES NOT HAVE A COFFEE MAKER in the room. Even during this era of social distancing, they want you to come downstairs to the common area to pour a cup of coffee. This means you can't enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in your pajamas while you're trying to wake up in the morning. On top of things, only part of the breakfast was individually wrapped, including cartons of milk and yogurt. But the self-serve cereal dispensers that were there pre-coronavirus were still out and available for guests to use. What happened to minimizing touch surfaces?

First time at a TruThis is a new hotel. Still needs some tweeking. Once I got past the college dorm feel, I found the room was comfortable but smaller than most other hotels I've in. Breakfast is lacking, may as well go to McDonalds across the road.

Modern hotel in old town environment. Very nice place! My daughter and I stayed this past weekend in the Tru by Hilton in Stuttgart. We were there for my cousin's funeral. The staff who greeted us when we got in extremly late after traveling for 9 hours were so pleasant and accommodating. I was surprised by this very modern themed hotel stuck here in this small farming community. You can tell the hotel is fairly new. The rooms were nice with all the amenities. I feel like there were even more towels in our bathroom than at most hotels which made it nice because we didn't have to ask for extra towels. We asked that our room not be cleaned while we were there but I'm sure the room cleaning staff was as great as the rest of the staff. The beds and pillows are AMAZING and sooo comfy. The only thing I was surprised by was that when we went to ask if they had a sample of toothpaste, because we had forgotten ours, we had to buy a trial size one for almost $3. I know most hotels give things like that that travelers forget for free. It wasn't a huge deal though as we had a very cheap rate overall. There's not much in Stuttgart but this hotel is in close proximity to what few places there are. The only complaint we had was we were bored to death in the evenings but the hotel offered a peaceful retreat where we laid in bed and watched tv. Thanks for having us! Your hotel is very nice!

They don't enforce the mask mandateI wanted to give this hotel at least a four-star review as the room itself was pretty good in giving me everything I needed, maybe a minus for the mildew forming in our shower, though. The issue I have is that even though Arkansas has a state-wide mask mandate in place right now to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus, and even though the signs on the door say this as well when you enter...the hotel is not enforcing it...at all. When we walked in the building to check in there was a LARGE group of people (at least 20 or so) huddled in the seating around the front desk and roaming around the lobby - none of whom were wearing face masks. The front desk agent was not wearing a mask either. Nothing between her and us other than a tiny piece of plastic that didn't protect against anything. None of the staff I saw in the morning were wearing face masks, either. I was so appalled that this hotel is not following state-mandated health procedures by requiring masks of its staff and guests in public spaces that I will never return here again- even after the pandemic is a distant memory. If there is a super-spreader event in Stuttgart, well...you'll know where it started.
