  Outstanding

  I checked out of this hotel this morning following a two-night stay. As is the case with almost every other hotels, enhanced protocols are in place to safeguard guests and staff. Check-in was easy (although I got an app alert that my room was ready, it in fact wasn't, but Matt at the front desk quickly helped set me up in a comparable room). My initial thoughts of the room when first walking in (I booked a king bed room) was that it was a bit smaller in size than I expected, but the functionality of the room completely made up for it and actually made the room feel cozier. The furniture setup and layout was comfortable and practical. There was sufficient space for storing clothes and the room had ample plugs (including both plug and USB ports on both sides of the bed). The bathroom was spacious and had all the amenities you'd expect. There was a large TV and channel offerings were generous (including at least a dozen HBO/Showtime/etc. channels). I was very pleased with the room. I must commend Matt at the front desk for being so friendly and helpful on this trip. He gave us great recommendations on things to do in town, including two great walking trails and tips for some local markets and food trucks. He was always approachable and available for any questions. He really made us feel like valued guests. While I primarily interacted with him during my stay, the remainder of the team were all friendly and helpful, as well. Breakfast was available in the lobby each morning, featuring a selection of cereals, pastries, bagels, eggs, fruit and yogurt, along with tea and coffee. Checkout was available on the Hilton app to expedite departure. Parking was free and without any issues. The hotel is nearby to a large variety of restaurants and stores, so anyone looking to grab a meal or shop nearby will have plenty of options. I was very satisfied with my stay and happy to see all the necessary measures are being taken seriously to ensure guests have a safe and pleasant stay. I expect to return to Maine again in the future and will book here again without hesitation.

  Mostly pleasant visit, would ultimately stay here again

  Stayed here for five days while in Maine. The hotel is super modern, super sleek and an outstanding monetary value for what all you get here. The bed was great, room decor, and television were good. Even the enormous complimentary soaps, shampoo, and lotion dispensers are a neat idea to have and the room shower is probably triple the size of what you normally have at home. The front counter people were super friendly and helped with every question. My concerns were for two days out of five, when the room simply wasn't cleaned...enough. The bed wasn't made, and only two towels were left. This was frustrating even though I specifically asked for them to be cleaned. The other issue is that it has......hardwood flooring in the room. This was uncomfortable and rather odd. Overall, it was still a fantastic hotel to stay at and if in the area again, I will return.

  Great location!

  Centrally located to Maine Mall and multitudes of different shopping. Room was clean and neat, and COVID-19 cleaning compatible (appreciated the sticker on the door showing the room hadn't been entered since cleaned). Plenty of extra space -hooks and shelving - along with spacious bathroom, excellent network of TV stations, and USB charging. Will definitely stay again!

  Great location!

  My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend in January. We stayed in a queen accessible room with 2 queen beds and there was plenty of room to get around. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of room too. It was nice to have a room that they made you feel very comfortable in. Everything was super clean and the front desk people were very nice and helpful too. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again and are looking forward to our next mother/daughter long weekend!

  Great Staff, Clean Hotel and Comfortable

  Its always a great stay when at the tru by Hilton Portland! The style is simple but also so comfortable and the bathroom products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc) are amazing! Matt, Destiny, Ranette and Justin are always super welcoming and friendly.
