  If you want to sleep, look elsewhere. Everything was going fine until we went to bed. The room was clean, check in was quick and easy, bed was comfortable. But after we laid down, we could hear the person above us what sounded like them pacing and stomping around the room for a couple hours then again in the morning. We were on the 1st floor right by the stairway door and outside door. Early morning (before 6am) it sounded like the whole town was walking through and slamming that outside door. Walls are VERY thin here, so like I said if you want any sleep at all...look elsewhere or bring ear plugs if you absolutely have to stay here.

  The place is super clean. The staff is extremely kind, helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good with several options considering the COVID-19 situation. Highly recommend this hotel. The are very conscious of the patrons safety.

  Funky, Colorful, Bright

  1st time at Tru - more of a modern flair on par with Aloft but better amenities like pool table, artsy lobby, etc. Rooms are a little noisy though and most certainly don't recommend the ground floor even if it is more convenient - high traffic area with lots of dogs (more than people) and owners taking them out the door at all hours so lots of door banging going on. Super clean, nothing to complain about on that front and friendly staff. Would be 5 star except for the lack of quiet. I will say, however, no bad smells due to pets, if it wasn't for the occasional bark across the hall and seeing the dogs on potty breaks, I wouldn't know there were animals. I like all animals, so commend properties that allow responsible pet owners, but maybe keep them all on ground floor so all the racket is between pet owners :)

  Best in town.

  Quite possibly the cleanest hotel Ive ever stayed in. Staff was top notch, specifically Jorden, who was working the front desk, as he was one of the most personable and helpful front desk attendants I have ever encountered. Next time I need a place to stay and Im headed they Meridian there is no doubt that Tru is where Ill lay me head.

  This is for the under 30 crowd

  This hotel was surprising for a Hilton. Definitely had the dorm room vibe and best suited to the younger generation. The room was austere, it was definitely dorm style with the furnishings and styling, the only thing missing was the keg. The only redeeming factor was the walk in shower and large bathroom. If you are over 30 then this might not be the best choice. We would not return.
