Freeway noise in most roomsIf you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you, freeway noise in most all of the rooms, hard to get away from the freeway. Typical Tru hotel, more appealing to a younger crowd. Tru has a "European feel" to the rooms which are smaller than most Hilton brand rooms.

Not cleanWe had to make a quick business trip to Idaho. I chose this hotel because of the location and because of the Hilton moniker. Because of Covid, we wanted to be very careful and limit our exposure, including at our hotel. Check in was easy. All went well until we got to our room. It was very sparse, which was okay, but not expected. Our concern was cleanliness. Unfortunately, you could see the rings from the bottoms of soda bottles which had been set on the shelf below the television by some previous guest. This concerned us. We pulled out the wipes and wiped the room down, including removing the sticky rings. There is no carpet and we could see remnants from previous guests in crumbs on the floor... The worst part was on the second night when I pulled the third wash cloth from the stack out to wash my face( we had used the first two by then) and I found crispy bits from fried chicken and a piece of what looked like parsley folded inside it..... If you are concerned with cleanliness, do not stay here. I will say the beds were comfortable.

This is one Hilton property to avoid!I am a business traveler and and Honors member, and stayed here without checking revues assuming I'd get the same Hilton experience I get at other Hilton properties. We chose this location due to having the family with me to spend a day at the water park. The lobby is bright and inviting. The room is a bit tight, and there is not a single surface large enough to put a bag on in order to get to your clothing. However, it was clean and the bathroom large. The shower water pressure was so low I spent twice as long trying to rinse the soap off. There was no desk to work at in the room, although there was a pullout table you could use, but it was way too tall to use with the single chair in the room. The road and freeway noise where quite problematic all night. During this time of Covid, I understand the breakfast situation in not being able to serve your self, but limiting you to how much you get, really? Also, the selection was pathetically small compared to other places I have stayed during this time, and they actually ran out of items the second day we were there. Finally, the kicker here is that there was no hand sanitizers to be seen anywhere, ever. When I inquired, they said they could not source any. That is a lie. Whoever the purchaser is for this location needs to be fired as from this experience, they are clearly slacking on their duties.

First time Ive been disappointedWe have stayed at Tru properties before including this one. They are a great value for the price. Comfy beds, soft sheets. Soaps, lotions, shampoos containers built into the wall. But this stay ranks at the bottom. We had booked a king room but when checking in, asked if a double queen room was available. We were told its a weeknight so there are plenty of rooms. If this is the case then 1): why would you assign guests next door to each other when everything can be heard through your paper thin walls? 2): Again, if so many rooms are empty, why not assign your guests to the rooms on the opposite side of the property from the trash? Being awakened at 5:45 AM to the sound of the garbage truck emptying not one but three dumpsters was not enjoyable. Finally, the room smelled like they had attempted to cover up a previous smoker. Im sorry to write this review & it wont prevent me from giving Tru another shot in another city. Just hope theyll pay attention to their guests comfort a little more closely.
