  Retro Licious

  Definitely a fun place-lots of bright colors and a cute atmosphere. Didn't know what to expect but was very satisfied. Carly at the front desk greeted me and couldn't have been sweeter. In the morning, Chris gave me some good options where to eat and what to do in the Dells. He was thorough and even offered to call me when the exercise room at the hotel was available. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

  Great stay

  In town to move my son back to college. This was my first pandemic trip, so I researched things and am glad I found Tru. Exceptionally clean, nice TV, small snacks and drink available. Great location by mall and other stores.

  Wonderful customer service, impeccably clean

  Both employees we interacted with for check-in and check-out were incredibly kind and welcoming. At check-in we were informed of everything to expect due to changes for heightened safety protocols due to the pandemic. Then we got to our room. It was sealed off with a Lysol cleaning sticker to ensure us nothing had been touched since the room was cleaned. There was another sticker inside that outlined what parts of the room had received extra disinfecting. There is no carpet in the room, which I LOVE. The room was SO clean. Plus, the soap and the shampoo and conditioner smelled so good. Out of the three hotels we stayed in during our trip, this was by far the cleanest and most enjoyable. We were actually able to sleep well and relax. It was nice to see employees thoroughly cleaning commonly used areas and the fitness center required an appointment. This is what all hotels should be like right now.

  Avoid

  As a Hilton diamond member - I would avoid this hotel again. The entire hotel smells like Marijuana. When I asked the front desk about it - the employee said nothing to me. It was a horrible stay and I checked out the next day. It is not up to Hilton standards at all. Such a shame because these tru hotels in other areas are pretty nice!

  NOT "PET FREINDLY"

  Disappointed. I called this property to make sure they were pet friendly and they said yes. When I checked in, they told me I had to pay a 50.00 fee, which I was not told on the phone and when I got to the room, I couldn't believe how small they were, only enough for a king size bed and little room around that. Unless you have a dog that's 5-10lb lap dog- you better not even think about this place. There was also no where for my dog to go the bathroom- granted there was snow several feet high, even so, not much area at all- I had to go across to another hotel in the area. They also didn't have courtesy poop bags like the surrounding hotels did. if you are going to advertise for pet friendly, at least think about the animals stay too. I was also disappointed that the room didn't stock any soap, so I requested it, they said they would bring it and never did. I requested it a 2nd time and they guy said they were out of the bottles down stairs and would have to go looking for it- at that point I opted to use the shower gel and said forget it. Especially in a Covid world, this should be top priority!!!
