  Dont waste your time or money

  This hotel is old and has nothing. Its not clean and over priced for what you get. From time you get here its a let down. Rooms need work and updating. Bathrooms are just ok and rest of room is a step up from a park bench. Just drive by.

  CASINO ONLY: Fun midweek outing!

  Came to play while in town overnight. We walked from the Doubletree, and it was a nice walk-felt safe. Given that entertainment is few and far between during COVID, I was very impressed with the steps they have taken to keep patrons safe and still keep their staff working. Spacing was clearly indicated at table games, and every other slot machine was turned off so you could be distanced from other players. Sanitizing wipes were everywhere, and I saw staff cleaning games and surfaces regularly. Masks are required unless you are actively drinking or smoking, and this is enforced. You cannot walk around with your drink and have your mask off- you must be seated. The only downside is that they do not have any food option aside from the little cafe at the entrance, which basically serves hot dogs and hamburgers, nachos, chips and sodas. The quality is that of a movie theater. Note that if you visit the cafe, you essentially exit the gaming floor, and to return you have to go through screening again. We did enjoy a few cocktails from the main bar, and staff was courteous and happy to serve. No sitting at the bar however. It's not Vegas or Biloxi, but it was a fun evening.

  resort fee rip off

  We stayed here its week of November the hotel room was fine, but no coffee maker and no glassware in room . The resort charges a $17. resort fee on top of your room rate. Keep in mind there was no open pool no fitness room open no coffee and no glassware in room and to top it all off no ice machines all in the name of COVID. Also no daily housekeeping we were only there one night so that was no big deal.. But if the hotel is going to remove all the amenities it should remove the extra fee it charges. We have traveled elsewhere over the last six months and have not seen the reductions of services this severe and then to be charged extra for services that are not available that is outrageous. The casino services were also reduced no drink service and many closed machines, We will probably avoid the the Tropicana Evansville until they either remove the fee or restore the services they are charging for and not delivering. We are senior travelers who typically travel 8-10 weeks a year.

  Absolutely horrible night

  The front desk staff was rude. The room was basic but seemed fine for what we needed it for. When we went to sleep we all started sneezing and I had several asthma attacks and I can only think of 1 thing it could be, MOLD! I was absolutely miserable for a day later because the mold made me so sick. When we woke up a dog was barking non stop in another room. Ill never stay at this hotel again.. Ive always stayed at French lick hotel and casino and thought I would try this one. Huge mistake! Never again!!

  Non-smokers beware!!

  WE booked a non-smoking room on-line. Gave us a smoking room; it was horrible. Had allergy issues all night. All our clothes smelled with smoke. Next morning we checked out and went to another hotel. They should have refunded us but didn't offer anything. Never stay there again.
